So on Saturday I see a cute pair of Skechers which were NOT the TSV.  They were pricey but there was free s&h.  I decided to think about it but then I see there is free s&h on Sunday as well.  Great!  I'll be saving $5.50.  On Sunday I decide I'm going to purchase the shoes but the price has gone up $10.00!  Already pricey on Saturday so I decide not to purchase.  So today, I decide to go mourn my shoes and they are back to their original price but now I have to pay the additional s&h.  THIS is why I am getting fed up with QVC.  These kinds of games are annoying to your customer base.  Randomly raising and lowering your prices DAILY is not conducive to good customer service and satisfaction.  I know it's a sales tactic but you are going to tactic yourself out of a customer base if you continue to treat your customers so poorly.  I've shopped here for 30 years but I think I'm running on my last nerve in the loyalty department.

@Lisamartha.  So it's QVC's fault you didn't buy the shoes when you had the chance?  Buyers remorse is not fatal....you'll live.  Retail pricing is up and down all the time everywhere.  I'm constantly getting price change notices from Amazon, for instance.

I do have to say, QVC plays fast and loose with their pricing. I've stated on here many times that I worked retail my whole work career. I worked in clothing for 20years. When an item goes on clearance that usually means the company is trying to get rid of their stock. Not QVC! It goes on clearance and then two days later it's up to regular price. Never saw anything like that in my life! But it's their company and I guess they can do whatever they want. But I've learned if I want something, get it when I see it.

@Lisamartha I completely understand being frustrated when you miss out on a sale price however, this is done at every retail business. You can think of it as a game if you so choose to but businesses want to sell you items that would be the most profitable for them, and they hope they will meet your price point while still making a profit. It's retail.

Many, many, businesses have temporary sales. Yes, it's a game of some sort but prices do fluctuate. As @Kachina624 stated, Amazon is notorious for this, prices constantly go up and down.

If you really want something, my suggestion is purchase at the price you are content with. There have been times I contemplated for too long and either the item sold out or the price went up. My reaction is "gosh darn, I missed it" and tell myself it wasn't meant to be. It's really not that big of a deal. If it's something you really want just check other retailers.

@NEvans2 I really don't think QVC should have "sales" on clearance. Or they need to relabel the Clearance to something like Labor Day Sale, Summer Sale, etc.

It is unusual to have sales on Clearance prices but I have received emails from other retailers that offer a temporary coupon with a percentage off Clearance.

I think customers have a hard time understanding why there are sales on Clearance since the definition of Clearance is to "sell goods at reduced prices to get rid of stock or because the store is closing down."

Always a disappointment when a price has increased when we're ready to pull the plug. I don't remember how many years I've shopped QVC, but I know often when a brand has a TSV other items within that brand are also on sale for that day.

@Lisamartha, have you checked Skechers' website? Think they have free shipping if you join their members program.

As a person who has also spent most of my life in retail and now restaurants I understand what you're saying about clearance pricing.  However, that was in the past and with actual physical inventory in the store.  In this day and age, everything is done via computer and any store that offers online shopping changes prices periodically.  I bought something marked down and another percent off from J Jill.  I went back to order another one and it was still on sale but for $10 more.

All retail changes their pricing up & down frequently.

What if you were on the other end of that price jump?

I bought a pair of sterling earrings here on a sale price.  When they arrived I really fell in love with them, so much so I was going to buy the 14-K gold plated version too.  Well the earrings went up by $30!

I didn't buy that second pair, but I sure felt quite happy to have gotten my pair for $30 less than their current price.
