Let's see if they put thier money where their mouth is...

They are hiring new hosts.

If the ones they hire are OVER 50, that MIGHT give some credence to their new ploy to retain customers.

If not, O well.....we'll see it for what it is...a platform for boors and cretins to screech out thier nonsense.

Which is what they think thier target audience is.

The reactions on Social Media boards has been mostly negative. That should tell them something.

Of course, we, the commenters on this board, the same ole same ole hundred or so of us who comment most frequently...they only keep these boards open because they know once we're here, we MIGHT jump over and buy something off the website.

Otherwise, no one at QxH listens.

Monday coming....time for the next "LCD" meeting....where they discuss how to appeal to the Least Common Denominator of thier Over 50 audience ( also known as : What they think of their customers).

Serious question.....did you SEE the "fashions" they were wearing on Friday night's show?

Looked like old clothes you'd wear to mow the lawn or paint the porch furniture.

O well. LOGO tomorrow. Sheeesh.

I watch both channels but order mostly from QVC. I like some hosts more than others and I lower the volume in some cases. Beneficial to me because I buy things I can't find in retail stores.

I have to agree the choices lately in clothes have been atrocious, nothing I would ever wear.
They need to move away from these loud prints and offer more classic pieces.

@sunsetbeach   I too liked that Carolyn Strauss line.  But I don't agree about "low quality" on HSN.  I've had Guiliana, Iman, and especially Nina Leonard which I have been very pleased with at reasonable prices.

I don't agree with the "you always get what you pay for" mentality.  I don't think a $50 D&C top being that much better than a $25 Iman or NL top.  And those brands often have true "sales" not the 5% off that QVC offers.

It's great to have choices.  I'm glad you found things you like at reasonable prices.  It's funny, but about 7 or so years ago I was in Florida and went to the HSN outlet.  There were deals to be had for sure, but alot of the things in person were just less quality than they appeared on tv.  The overwhelming amount of polyester was evident.  I'm sure that colored my perception, but I also think my tastes changed.  The last thing I ever bought at HSN was a lovely leather jacket by Iman, I still have it.  Smiley Happy

I don't watch either channel. I don't have time for that even if I did want to watch. I don't know how anyone can watch Q with the non-stop blabbing. No Thanks.

I stopped buying from Q well before Covid. When I had to call to ask for me refund was enough for me.

I'm also not paying shipping per item. How ridiculous is that? There's no reason your purchases for the day cannot be shipped in one box with one shipping charge.

I buy Andrew Lessman from HSN but I can always buy direct from him. I should probably be doing that.

I check out the forums to see what's going on. Not like I spend much time here?

I have turned into one of those viewers/customers that I use to scorn years ago. The one's who still come and post on the boards, but do not watch or shop anymore. That's pretty much me. I broke the habit on January 1, 2023. I gave it up cold turkey, and have not looked back.

I still receive the daily e-mail notifications about the TSV/TS. I purchase AL supplements from HSN regularly, and every blue moon I might see an e-mail for something that interest me and will purchase.

I went from a heavy QVC/HSN shopper to the occasional one. The pricing was just not my cup of tea anymore and I would definitely say that when a majority of the hosts annoy you it's time to move on.

I've wondered about the over 50 push, but whenever I see a show with an audience it seems most of people attending appear to be over 50. So, I gather that is the target audience they are seeking to attract. Of course, I'm sure they are happy to get shoppers of any age.

@Peggs.  I don't buy from a shopping channel because I like or dislike the hosts.  I buy because I like the merchandise.

I've watched both QVC and HSN for well over 30 years.  I find very little I want to buy at HSN and the quality of their merchandise, as well as the styles, don't meet my standards.
