Thank You, Fribwl. YES, the Mary gigglefest is getting nauseating. I almost feel like she idolized ELLEN and missed out on her comedy opp back in the day and maybe QVC was her 2nd choice. She can't go 10 mins without either giggling or trying her attempt at a joke. Its cringe worthy and unbearable watching her and Kim Gravel together

I believe she is currently a vendor on JTV.

I think most people would like to leave their jobs after 30 years. I have a friend who's been at her job for 30 years and want;s out. She started at 25 and will retire at 55! Still young to do whatever she wants.
Also when you worked at the same job for 25-30 years most corporate campanies will want for you to retire. Fresh innovative eyes and ideas are needed.
I once replaced someone who worked at the same company for 30 years and still worked the same way. When they were training me it took a whole day to perform a duty that took me 1 hour.

Hi Suxela, excellent points and I 100% agree with that. Our neighbor just retired early after 30 yrs at same job in corporate. She is now 52 and gets to live a great life with family and friends.

Hi Marciirene, I def agree with you on Jane. She just never stops and usually is always blabbing about her daughters its just a bit too much. Courtney is much better off on her owne and I believe Q received tons of feedback about that. Have you boticed how Courtney or Jane have been doing solo Shoe Shpping on Tues nights? Its refreshing!!
We actually LOVE Rick, but I can see how one either loves him or doesnt. I also really liked T.J., as well and agree with you on Stacey..

@granddi wrote:Why would an aspiring TV spokesperson want to work for Q?
The chance of advancement to a top tier host is very limited.
If you do make the lineup you get the least watched programming.
It seems that the entry level status lasts a long time.
Doesn't seem to take long for the talent to move on.
@granddi You answered your question with the word ASPIRING. If one is aspiring to do something else, they need a salary until that something else comes along. Working in front of a QVC camera can be a beneficial experience to help hone skills for future TV jobs. That's not much different from the number of QVC hosts who worked in local TV news before coming to QVC. Just the time spent working on camera live probably helped them appear more polished in their auditions.

We'll soon know ( and see) how much they value "Women over 50"and all the "Age of Possiblity" hype when they hire a...
Woman over 50 for a host position.
( Of course, someone has to apply who is over 50!!!)
