I watch YouTube a lot and have recently seen that QVC is in pretty hot water with debt.

Predictions for bankruptcy.

Has anyone else seen those videos and do you think they are accurate?

So many are struggling right now and not buying, so I wouldn't be surprised if revenue is down.

I'll believe it when I see the legal filing notice.

@timeless

Good grief, why YouTube?

Many parent companies of retailers have had to do a financial restructuring.  This is nothing new.

Is this why more items are 2 payments or 3 payments? I noticed this last week; the 4- or 5-payment option is very limit for products.

Well as most of us know, there have been a lot more Free shipping days, so they are definitely trying to increase sales numbers. Also, some time back they did away with price adjustments within 30 days, unless you paid full price to begin with - and many many items are a sale price to start - so that was a loss to their books they eliminated. Plus they are doing more deals to to influence customers to get a Q card, which I refuse to do. So they are trying to increase their bottom line. We will see if it makes much of a difference.

Shopping has changed, but the Q became its worst enemy. Why so many networks? Do we need Q2? This means more of everything—hosts, cameras, sets, etc.—and this is expensive. Why two hosts and a product host for 80 percent of every product? Again, a waste of money, and they made their TV product horrible to watch with this approach. Two hyped hosts screaming "great," and the product host trying to get a word in about the product. Again, wasting money.

All of this led to higher, higher, and higher prices and fewer customers to cover the huge expense for all of this cost. The Q got too cute and greedy, and their based shoppers could not keep up with this new way of business, especially when Amazon hit the market.

The Q needs to admittedly streamline and cut all those networks and hosts and stop allowing one or two products to dominate their airwaves. All their products have really become overpriced. I love Valerie P. Hill, but her products have become too expensive when you have HomeGoods in the area and other stores.

If the Q wants to survive, they need major changes fast.

News of a possible bankruptcy is well known. Q has been in the hole for many years so it wouldn't surprise me.

Instead of making changes to improve, they continue on the same path as always. They can't keep doing the same things and expect different results.
