The previous postings are correct--I'm normally asked for the credit card security code when I place a phone order anyplace.
But there may have also been some sort of update or glitch in QVC's system that day. Wednesday I also place a phone order, via automated ordering. I didn't have a problem with it until the end when it was trying to complete the order. I waited and waited, then finally a real live customer representative came on the line to finish the transaction. Later, when I went into my order status online, i saw that I had been charged double the shipping. I had ordered two items and it showed the shipping for both twice. However, the total was correct. Huh? It was just a little too strange for me and in the end I cancelled the order, for other reasons as well.
I'm finding so many errors and glitches with so many companies, both online and with real company representatives, nowadays. With all the identity theft going on, it makes one leery.
