Re: Q50 - The Age of Possibility

I do find it very odd. Apparently they did a poll or someone did, that a low percentage of women feel “seen” by retail companies. What is this obsession with being SEEN? Just buy your clothes and go on with your life. It’s all this celebrating ourselves and hoisting ourselves up when it’s actually annoying and prideful. That’s a whole other conversation not for this outlet. In short, it’s silly. Women, just buy your clothes and live your life, it’s short. The end.

Re: Q50 - The Age of Possibility

Does anyone actually need or want pithy platitudes especially by the age of 50?

Wonder just exactly how that survey was worded. Do people feel unseen? Really? I think the term they fail to acknowledge is unappreciated. That's where this company is failing miserably.

Some people get discount codes, some don't. Some get surprise gifts in the mail, while others don't. How should a long time faithful frequent shopper feel when they read of others getting a perk not offered to them? My experience with other companies is a benefit is bestowed to all in their reward program, and with most the benefits increase with each purchase.

Just what does QVC do to show they value their customers? Their frequent purchasing customers?

I mentioned in another thread that this was my birthday month. I've received discount codes, gift credits, and numerous other benefits from other companies with a frequent shopper program or with whom I deal with online. Just today a restaurant offered a free appetizer or dessert. Another company $10 off a $30 order. My gas/convenience store credited by account with .20 cents off per gallon of gas on my next tank fill, plus a coffee and a muffin.

If I'm unseen by QVC, then I don't see them doing anything to rectify that. Certainly not with this campaign.

@Itiswhatitis85

Momo is going to be on QVC?!?!?

( google Momo mask if you don't know who it is...that bachelor woman wife looks EXACTLY like that mask!!!)

I think the old bachelor guy woke up and put his glasses on and said..."WHOA!!! What did I do???? Where's the number to my divorce lawyer?!?!??!"

Re: Q50 - The Age of Possibility

I'm not inspired or empowered by any of QVC's messages. I'm 60 and just worked through things, and worked through life and I'm content and happy with just that AND my dog!! This event is just an event which creates excitement for them, but it's just selling the same things with a theme. It's fine but I'm already OK.

Re: Q50 - The Age of Possibility

The only segment worth watching was Kathy Levine who was the only woman showing restraint and class.  All others were screeching, screaming, loud yapping and, of course, Mally with her obnoxious behavior and potty mouth.  Turned off most segments.  This is nothing but a buying remote featuring over 50 women....it is LAME!

@Sooner 😂 So true.

I think I admire her most for what she went through years ago. It had to be the hardest thing she ever did. It just goes to show that nobody has a perfect life. We all have struggles and defeats. 😔

Re: Q50 - The Age of Possibility

I think it’s lovely that QVC is celebrating women over 50, but why didn’t they take models over 50? Katia is the only one that is. There are so many beautiful models that are over 50. Staci, Susanne, Chantal, Shelia, Louann, Joanne, Jill, Anne, Scotti, Helen, Mary, etc.

Re: Q50 - The Age of Possibility

Watched some of the special Vegas programmiing and got to hear Mally talk about some bronzers looking like poop on your face, followed by her obnoxious cackle.

Does that 50 year old demo that QVC is supposed to be targeting really like that woman?

This reminds me when QVC did something honoring Hispanic businesses and kept uing the term "latinx" in their adverts, when actual Hispanics hate that term and it's only favored by white librerals, the people who obviously are in control at QVC.and have zero clue who their customer base is and what they want.

Women in their 50's aren't trying to be "fierce' (hate that term), fabulous or powerful.  We're just trying to make ends meet and get by.  The psychobabble QVC is using is so idiotic and insulting.  We aren't looking for guideance from liberal activists and scolds like Naomi Watts or Billie Jean King.  Just give us good products and decent prices.
