All shopping is a choice, whether for necessities or frivolities.

It is always amusing to me to read these complaints or digs at QVC from people who say they will no longer shop here, yet they continue to participate on these Boards (which were created for the enjoyment of the QVC SHOPPERS).

Yes, prices are high for many things, but over time people accumulate a lot and perhaps need less, or their taste changes, or they retire, or they downsize, or their health declines, etc., all issues which impact their shopping needs and desires.

Numbers are down for many products in the world--young people prefer experiences over material goods, and since there are so many renters instead of home owners, fewer home goods need to be purchased. Because the pandemic reinforced the concept of working from home, dressing up professionally turned into casual Friday every day.

QVC is constantly exploring what people like to spend money on, and food and perishable items are always a good choice for companies. You might buy a diamond ring every five years, or five new clothes items per year, but certainly you will buy food as often as you can afford it if you find something really tasty.

I enjoy ALL my QVC purchases, even though I go to brick and mortar stores every week (supermarket, department stores, etc.).

I could never criticize those who order fancy peaches, a special deodorant,  a designer purse, or a gold bracelet. It is their decision to spend their money the way they want!

No one is criticizing those who spend $65 on peaches or $32 for deodorant. Merely expressing the absurdity of the prices.

It’s clear you are on your soap box.  You are having a conversation in your head.   Not one person criticized the people that do spend. As for the boards I doubt every poster buys from QVC. Does it really matter?

@manny2  - This post below is calling someone who buys the deodorant a fool.

"For a good laugh, take a stroll over to the deodorant section 😂.  A better set can be had for $39!!!!!  A fool and their money.....

That is just a saying meant in a broad sense. That is how I take it anyway. @San Antonio Gal

I don’t give much weight to insults. I buy what I like. I am not insulted or influenced by anyone.

These threads about the price of food here at QVC is just another trip on the Merry-go-Round.

While some may feel prices are too high, others see value and convenience in ordering. We all have different priorities and availability of products.

My complaint regard qvc. I wanted a bad sweater the other day and it was either sale priced or this show/day only for 99.98. I ordered and canceled it after. I wanted to think it over during the noc. Decided I would order it but now it's 168.00.  Why can't qvc let the sale price or whatever stay in place for 3 days? People living on social security want to make correct decisions and not waste money. I would think most people retired or not feel the same. Sometimes you just need time to justify it or recheck budget for the month. And this was a barefoot dream sweater not bad as first stated. Qvc at least think about it. Thx

@Etoile308  I agree with your statement, but I appreciate being able to read diverse opinions about prices. It's helpful to relate to different points of view on the topic.

@gypsys mom - I wonder if it would be successful if Q had a sale "week" like stores do. For example, grocery store sales start on Thursday and go through Wednesday. (I know they have weekend ones too). Other no -grocery stores have their sales run Sunday through Saturday. Aside from the TSV, I wonder if it would be a success for Q to have a sale week as well. An item could be on sale for longer than a week, but a customer would know they need to make a decision by a given date. I prefer to think about it as well.
