Last week Liberty/Qurate held an Investor Day. The entire presentation is included in Investor Resources. Lots of corporate speak. However, they present this as the vision for their 2 largest brands:
QVC: "To deliver the joy of discovery through the power of relationships."
I think the translation means expect the hosts to be even more in your face about their families and social lives.
HSN: "To deliver the thrill of discovery through inspiring her passions."
I have no idea what that means.

I can't (pick one) believe that the Corporate leaders believe this BS anymore than the viewers buy into it.

I'm going to take a guess that this has to do with "The Find." That cross country search for the next big idea to bring to QVC and HSN. I think HSN may have already launched a couple of brands from this contest.

Really? This statement is over the top. I can think of many more thrilling and inspiring things to do than shopping at HSN. So much so, I rarely shop there.

And luckily I missed Kerstin talk about her doctor's appointment. I did hear her say to a vendor about how her kid grabbed her bottom and said "It's so squishy, Momma".

OMG this is such baloney. My BIL recently spent a boatload to get his doctorate in some area of humanities or some such subject. He has written papers full of sentences like this that don't really mean anything. My husband teases that he got a degree in "group hugs." Can you imagine a roomfull of QVC people sitting around a big table coming up with this vision? Pure nonsense. How about giving us a variety of interesting and useful products, at a fair price, shipped in a timely fashion? That is all we want. I don't give a hoot about their lives or families.
