I know that the snake photo isn't popular, but I like it. The snake has a pretty design; reptiles shouldn't be left out.
I work until 2:00 Saturday, then I'll be watching the 49ers-Colts game, which starts at 4:30 and is televised on our local station. I get QVC, but haven't been watching it. I do check QVC out online occasionally, just in case I find something.

This is my reptile story
I know snakes creep people out, but that was so weird that someone put a sweater on a snake so I had to share that photo.
Im not afraid of snakes....I just need to know if they are poisionous or not, if poisionous I will certainly avoid them at all costs.
There is a State Park my friends and I like to go to hike (they have easy, moderate, and hard trails). One time the Park Rangers conducted a class on snake identification so people can determine whether a snake is dangerous or not....I went to the class and made my friends go too....It freaked them out because the Park Rangers did show some live snakes.....
The class was useful.....I did see a snake near my condo one time---a Rat Snake (there's fields and greenbelts around where I live and field mice which attracted the snake)...I think a couple of feral cats scared it away---never saw it again, and snakes dont like cats . We also spotted a snake at the Park ----
I dont mind reptiles---frogs, lizards---they eat the insects that I dont like and some I am afraid of............. (My sister is deathly afraid of frogs and lizards)

LOL. This pic is my favorite. If this parrot can talk, l'm sure he'll have some choice words about this weekend's programming!

@Spurt, once again, thank you for the wonderful pictures and the work you put in weekly for our viewing pleasure! But once again, I gotta say it - Bah Humbug! The Q, like so many other major retailers start the holiday season way too early. Here it is August and I'm already wishing the holidays were over as we are on overload with gifts, decorations, holiday foods, etc.
I grew up pretty poor. Christmas was absolutely magical for my sibs and I. Although gifts were scare, it was a wonderful day. My father would buy a tree on Christmas Eve after work and not bring it into the apartment until after the four of us were asleep. My parents stayed up well into the early hours of Christmas morning putting it up, decorating it and putting out the few gifts we each got. But waking up early in the morning and seeing that tree lit and decorated on Christmas morning for the first time, with gifts under it for us was a huge WOW and just as meaningful as what we got! I continued the same tradition with my own daughter. My daughter now continues it with her kids. Those memories are priceless for me, my daughter and hopefully will be for my grandkids as well.

I understand....Christmas isnt about gifts at all--- its all about the special memories with family and friends---and magic---the tree, the lights, the music. And also the "real"reason for the season for some too.........
Im so happy to hear your family is keeping those special cherished traditions alive
