@ladychas - Paperless billing tells you the due date and amount due - just like regular paper statements.
But where do you find them?

If I switch to a paperless statement, will there be a remittance stub that I can print and will I still be able to mail a check to pay the bill?
@whatsmyname - You can print an acutal statement which includes the remittace stub. Perhaps consider paying online and avoid having to write a check and mail it.

@ladychas you have to set up account with Synchrony. You can go to statements and print from there. It's very easy and convienent.

WHY in anyone's right thinking would you have any credit cards...
and esp for stores and shopping networks?
WHY are you even choosing to consider these insane interest rates
where these corporations feed off the greed of their customers?
That's how they are making HUGE money.
Don't be dumb, but if you choose to purchase do so out of your debit accounts
and keep the money in your own pockets.

Huh? My credit cards pay me Rewards. I don't pay a single cent in interest. If I have trouble with an item, my credit card company takes care of it for me. And in order to have a credit rating which affects buying property, insurance rates and even jobs, a debit card is useless.

@katie1859, if you shop within your budget there is no reason to pay a penny of credit card interest. But that credit card can provide cash back, or a reward program. A debit card does not.
I think a credit card is essential for traveling. Car rental companies have been know to put a hold charge of $1000 against your available debit account. They are after all allowing someone to drive off in a $25,000 to $30,000 plus vehicle. Hotels can be several hundreds of dollars of a hold against your funds. That's your money tied up until the hotel or car rental releases it. Then your financial institution can take 3-5 days or longer to release it back to your account. And when traveling outside of the country, there are credit cards that charge no conversion fees for foreign currency.
I think my thinking is pretty right. The only time I use my debit card is at Costco, because they don't accept my major credit card.

So you give credit card companies money buy using their cards and they make huge bucks
Turning around and charging their customers huge interest and you say you do it for rewards because rewards are free money.
No such thing as free anything.
You are essentially paying for that free reward. No corporation gives free. Your points that you earn come with a price tag somewhere down the line..
Gotta love the thinking that they do all this buying because it boosts up their credit scores...
Credit scores are a reflection of debt. The more debt successfully paid on time the higher you maintain a score.
Debt is the reason the 34 % interest on these cards.
Nothing is what you think it is and if you had money to back up your debit cards you would face no interest at all
My debit card has been used for hotels, car rentals, restaurants. Never had a problem. I've bought air travel just the same.
In order to get rewards, aka free money, you have to BUY. SO YOURE ESSENTIALLY buying your way which has a term. Called SPAVING. You spend to save. Quite the cycle.
How many I wonder actually do pay off their cards each month. According to statisticc quarterly reporting, the average credit card balance is at 8,000. Wow. Sign of the economy or free rewards lol.

Perhaps, respectfully, you should take a course at the local high school on finance. Maybe a book on how to build wealth. Your debit card won't give you a credit rating. And let me reiterate if you pay your entire bill you won't pay a cent in interest. We don't have debt and spend exactly the same on credit cards as we would cash. However, we received points that we turn into cash. They pay us, we don't pay them. We, essentially, are using the bank's money for free and within 30 days pay it back. NO INTEREST!

There is nothing more fiscally responsible than having one (or two) great credit cards with fabulous rewards programs.
I use my credit cards multiple times a day and love my SAVOR card with high dining and grocery store cash back. I can't ever imagine now being without it.
And I have not paid a dime in interest in many, many years.
Credit cards are the ultimate smart and wise financial tool. I would never, ever use a debit card for large purchases. I can't imagine anything more fiscally reckless.
Credit cards are absolutely nothing to be feared, if you are wise in their use and well informed about personal finance.
