Product Photos of Dark Pieces of Clothing

It is difficult to see detail on a black or a darker color of a clothing item. Yet most of the product pages use the darker colors for close-ups. They are also guilty of this on video presentations (if and when they stop blabbing to the models or someone off camera and finally begin showing the item). They show the dark blue, purple, black, etc., which is difficult if not impossible to see, especially on the crummy resolution of their video presentations.

Not to mention that they NEVER describe the "hand" of the fabric, i.e., the weight, how it drapes, whether or not it is thin or thick, heavy or light. This leads to some unwanted surprises when you get a tank or t-shirt that is either lightweight flimsy when you were expecting something substantial or vice versa, you're looking for something lightweight and the shirt is winter-weather weight and unsuitable for summer or spring. Or you buy a shirt you're thinking is supple and light weight and you get something stiff, heavy, scratchy and prone to wrinkling. The fabric content tells you nothing about the weight of the fabric, how it drapes, thick or thin, etc. Plus the stupid binder clips they use on the backs of clothes to make them look fitted and you get some boxy maternity-looking thing instead of the fitted thing you saw on screen.
