wrote:I agree about the shipping. I purchased four realtree winter caps that have a led light in the front, each one is nearly weightless, they all came the other day in four seperate large boxes, I would think it would of been more practical to combine items if they are all going to the same address, not to mention a serious waste of packaging. Thank goodness our recycle pickup.
But on some orders they do combine in the same box, YET they still charge you full shipping for both....go figure.....

But now so many other retailers offer that same convenence so QVC isn't unique in that respect...........

After spending time reading so many topics and threads, i realize that there is usually at least one category for which even the thriftiest shopper will gladly pay absurd prices. For some it may be beauty, for others handbags, etc. So Q has everyone covered. Lol. Yay for us!

You did know I was joking, right @Spurt ?
I have no need or interest in boycotting stores in that manner. Surely you don't think I'm not aware of the power of the internet? Or that I don't have to shop where I don't want to? No one is forcing me to shop anywhere, not here and not elsewhere. I am really surprised that my post would make you think so.

Thanks though for validating me, it is nice to know there are still some people who like to see both sides of every situation!
@CareBears @Spurt It IS curious and rather glaring to encounter those on these boards who seem to think QVC can do no wrong and we are somehow wrong to suggest otherwise. I've often wondered what their relationship is to QVC...
I think being a Q Fan Club Member comes with rose colored glasses. All is not wine and (Cottage Farms) roses at the Q....the declining revenues and in particular declines in sales in particular vendor lines should definitely raise a concern which coincides with QVC's more realistic customer attitudes here on the Forums.
The ones that aren't being realistic are the ones that must view QVC and the hosts as part of their family and their friends....I guess that sales gimmick worked with some........It's no use trying to make them see the light... But take heart that there are a lot of people on this Forum that echo your same comments, but some do need to wake up and smell the coffee (and I dont mean Keurig)...............
@Spurt As long as some folks see this as the only game in town or even as a premier choice for shopping, there will be those who don't want to hear any criticisms. I'm sorry, but that's their issue, not mine...

What I don't understand is if they so adamant about their Q view why do they even bother to open certain posts....They are always telling us to CHANGE THE CHANNEL, why don't they MOVE ON TO ANOTHER THREAD! They certainly aren't going to change our minds or those that share the same opinion that we have of QVC........why they could read a book, or go out and enjoy some fresh air, or gush over a host on their Facbook page.... your right it's their issue, not ours...

Because so many of the department stores have such phenomenal prices (Bonus Buys, Coupons, Early-Bird Specials, Doorbusters), it is difficult to compete (and then you add the S/H). I recently purchased some very high-end, quality pieces of clothes (dress and four tops) for under $100.00. Plus, I can try them on, since sizing can sometimes be an issue and return them very easily and in a timely manner. LOGO (what I consider a glorified T-Shirt) pricing at $80.00 plus S/H seems crazy to me.

I have to tell a funny story after reading all of the posts. I was in one of our discount stores here in NY and saw a rack of jeans that I recognized. I look at the labels and they were all D&C. The pull up jeans that QVC charges over 30 bucks for. Price at this store 5.99. My husband was yelling at me because I grabbed every medium that they had. I guess because they are going with number sizes they are getting rid of the S, M, L's. QVC I will never buy number jeans. It's a pain in the neck to figure out what size you are.. And your price for these jeans are outragous.
