Watching ITKWD and the item was a Prepology cake cutter and the vendor is talking about how evenly it cuts the pieces, but none of the cut pieces were straight, and you had thin parts of the cake that were left standing, lol.

 

The camera cut away when the overhead shot showed how uneven and butchered the cake looked.

 

A knife and spatula would have done a much better job.

@Desertdi I don't know how good these Prepology cutters are but I bought a set of cutters years ago,maybe 15 years ago or more from QVC. They did an excellent job of cutting birthday cakes. I think mine are much more substantial, a stronger metal.

I keep a SLICE of bakery cake in my freezer....just in case I have one of those SWEET FITS in the middle of the night....       di

Decades ago I bought a plastic square version of this. Completely useless. All the cake and frosting stuck to the cutter.  It was truly awful.
