So there was something I wanted but it was on waitlist so I went for it.  Then it popped up on HSN, in stock, so I ordered and went to cancel the one on QVC, but it showed "Preparing Your Order" and unable to be cancelled  So I went and cancelled the HSN one.  Now like 6 days later it still shows they are preparing my order.  It never used to be in this stage that long.  Is someone physically walking it across town to place in the envelope?  If QVC is slow and cannot get their act together, fine but let me cancel it.  I am basically in limbo now.  So I reorded the one on HSN.  I will just immediately return the QVC one if/when/should it ever ship.  QVC must not understand that some of us celebrate a holiday called "Christmas" that is next Saturday.  "Preparing My Order" will not help me next Saturday.

QVC is going downhill.  A random envelope showed on Saturday and it was a pair of Kim Gravel Rumba Red velvet leggings.  "Patricia T" in Ohio - your leggings were shipped to "Gina in Maryland".  The label had all of my information.  But the packing slip had this woman's info and I did not order this item.  I scheduled a USPS pickup of this today.  I refused to go stand in line during the post office's busiest time and return something I did not order.  Luckily my mail carrier will collect it today when they drop off my mail.  That woman will probably get charged for the return and it is not her fault.

I have a few orders that have said that for over a week now.  It is frustrating.

One reason, along with crazy high prices and junky "gift" shows galore that has me down to ordering one item a month as opposed to my old QVC shopping habit or two items or more per week

@Tukey

We have all been warned for months and months from everyone to order early!  Even the local news!

If you waited this long to order something hoping for Christmas delivery, that's really on you.

The fact that QVC typically has slow preparing and processing times is well known.

We have been asking for years to be able to cancel more orders, but that has never been addressed to customer's satisfaction.  We all know this as well.

You can't cancel the majority of the time.

Yes we were warned........I stopped ordering on the Q weeks ago.  I have one order out at HSN for the TS fleece leggings the other day, but it doesn't matter when they show up as they are for me.  I am waiting for one more gift which was a last minute idea for my son and it's another online purchase, not the Q.    Supposed to be delivered by this Friday.   I made myself a promise to NOT order anything else this month and my New Years resolution (I know I am early) is too just try to STOP QVC ordering in general.

Immediately after ordering my last item, it went into "Preparing your order" mode.  I believe that is occurring so you cannot cancel (e.g., buyer's remorse).

Then you are in the queue for the warehouse to 'pick your order'.  After going on the conveyor belt, it is dropped thru a chute for the shipper to pack.  All that takes a week on some orders.

Yes, Preparing Your Order is QVCs way of blocking your ability to cancel an order which I have been trying to do for over three weeks.  The CS rep says they can't cancel it even though last week the date was changed to delivery 12/24.  I even spoke with a manager in CS who said it is in warehouse and it can't be cancelled by CS and if I reveive it I can return it.  They are hoping you will keep it.  I know they are having shipping problems but I don't want Christmas decorations after Christmas or for next year.  They are disappointing customers Sad.

I think items go to Preparing your Order more quickly at this time so that they can be shipped in time for the holiday.  Of course that doesn't mean it will happen.  The few items I ordered have arrived and others will arrive before Christmas.  Ordering this close to Christmas is a chance I wouldn't take.  We have all heard of shipping issues throughout the retail chain.

I completed any gift orders in October. Don’t particularly like having to plan gifts starting beginning of Fall, but find it necessary due to current shipping issues most places. My couple outstanding orders are not gifts, only reason I ordered my Kirks Folly items are special pricing will disappear and not interested in paying inflated costs in January. I caution you to watch prices of items purchased within 30 days of purchase date, I had a ring go down in price by approximately $25 dollars. I did get a price adjustment. I also do not understand why it takes days and days to “prepare an order”.

I had the same situation today. That change in policy  should be noted on the automated system and stated on the ordering function.  Nothing you can do about it but be more cautious in the future. DISAPPOINTING!
