I agree! I can't stand it either.

And if a handbag is a "she," is a pair of pants a "he"?

Yes......pants are a he.  Socks self identify as she.  So, we respect that.

It's not that unusual.  I've heard boats and cars referred to as "she."

Yes, a boat or a car might be referred to as "she." (I've never heard anybody say this in real life, though.)

But it is downright weird to call a purse "she." WEIRD.

But you're referring to someone as "her" when she has a name.

I think she is fine. Way to critical people, if you can't stand don't watch. I watched some of the show and I was paying attention to the handbags, even made a mental note to the fact that this is a host "people can't stand"......um why???? I really think she did a nice job showing the handbags.

I agree. A handbag is, and always will be, an "it"!

I wouldn't mind so much what they call them if they still had something. Whatever happened to Sak's, to Max of NY, to Stone Mountain? Where are all our choices? Is it all Dooney &Bourke and Vera Bradley now? What boring offerings in handbags!

The host looked so pretty last night and described the handbag to perfection but calling it a she was a surprise to me. It's a very nice handbag lady!  Not a she or anything else.
