those anybody joggers have side pockets and they never , ever lie flat out if the dryer they are always bunched up and looked awful ! That's why I stopped buying them ! Now the ones I cant remember the name with the low pocket and front pockets are ok.
I feel most pockets at the hip give extra weight or stick out and don't lie flat . Not fond of pockets in pants !

I've mentioned this before, but it bears repeating ....
Several years ago, my employer brought in the Beverly Hills Police Dept to give a lecture on women's safety and self-defense. (Two women had recently been mugged in a "safe" parking structure).
One of the most surprising comments they made was to NEVER put your car keys in your handbag. Ever. Put them in your POCKET.
Too many women were carrying those handbags with two straps, using the short handles and letting the shoulder strap dangle.
They called those bags a purse-snatcher's favorite handbag.
Here's why ...
if you're carrying a handbag in the crook of your elbow, and the other strap dangles, you are setting yourself up. A purse snatcher could run up behind you and shove you to the ground. You would push out your arms to block your fall to the ground. The snatcher could grab your long strap of your bag and run like crazy.
By the time you got to your feet, they were on the next block and not only did they have your wallet and phone with all your info, but also your car keys! They could immediately drive to your home and access it before you've even given the police your statement.
If this happened and you had your keys in your pocket, at least you could drive home and call your credit card companes, etc, to report stolen cards.
It's NEVER a good idea to have your wallet, phone and keys all in one place.
Yes, this is a long reply, but I always want to pass this on to women.
And THAT is why I always need a garment with pockets.
If you don't want them, buy something else.
@Tinkrbl44 I never thought of that , good point ! Most of my handbags I carry do have the long strap hanging down while I wear it in the crook of my arm. Must reevaluate that .

I only carry my keys in my pockets if they are deep. Some are too shallow and I'm afraid my keys could fall out as I move around. That's worse than having them in my purse. I carry a crossbody close to my body.

I like pockets too and prefer them for most pants and many tops.

@Jacie I would never buy a zip up jacket without pockets. Yes, I have allergies and a runny nose. I need pockets. Hope you find plain jacets with no pockets.

Or @Jacie could just not use the pockets. IMO, this is such a non-issue.
JMO, of course.

I just like pockets to put my hands in when standing around. Have to have pockets or will not purchase certain clothing.
