Could be the rug is shedding. It's a tufted rug and that kind does shed.

@Kachina624 yes!! I thought I was the only one bothered by the dirty rugs, lol. It would take 2 seconds to run one of their (many) cordless vacs right before the show and during commercial breaks.

@rms1954 The light color rugs (like this one) especially show the dirt on the close-ups. It's gross.😝

Maybe dirt but that rug has a design where it appears to have dark-dyed areas on it...places where the dark fibers are shedding...??

On the website it says the rug is tufted. Hard to see that in the photo I posted but tufted rugs tend to shed.
