The additional host for Diamonique is not a gemologist since Diamonique is a man made stone.
A diamond is self-explanatory and the other gems presented are repeated over & over again. By this time, we all know what peridot looks like.

Very knowledgeable person and he always explained items so well. I think he did more than just appear on the shows. He traveled all over the world to bring different gemstones to QVC. He will be missed as he added a lot of information to the presentations.

He's a geologist, gemologist, showed diamonds and had a fashion line.
This is one talented man!

He did not have a fashion line. That is Clinton Kelly.

I just got my question answered here about PK on a previous thread. I don't think the Q sells that much jewelry anymore, there is too much competition from the other shopping channels. I can't imagine the Q can justify sending PK all over the world to source stones and have the Balinese make jewelry. I always enjoyed his shows though.

I think Nancy is a classy lady.
Would like to see her on more frequently.

While I appreciate his knowledge about the products, I realy don't care for all the extra people during the presentations. Same goes for David Markstein. Then there's the Diamonique lady, Erin. She should be a host instead. I have to laugh when she's on there with Mary Beth. Mary Beth will act like it's the first time she's seen Diamonique and knows nothing about it, when she's been selling it for 30 years.

I will miss Peyton!
He explained so well. And his vault discoveries are true treasures.
I enjoyed many of the stories he shared during presentation.
Another thing, he was very responsive to customers, and would help when issues arise with the item.
I've learned quite a bit, and got some interesting pieces, I would not find otherwise.
Let us know if you will work somewhere else. Such a pleasure to watch you, Peyton!

@Q4u wrote:That's a shame, I enjoyed his rich experiences and knowledge when he came on. His experience can't be replaced and as much respect as I have for Nancy for going through the program.... she really needs to stop her self promotion by saying she is one of QVC's certified gemologists e v e r y time she comes on to present jewelry......
I cringe every time I hear her do this.... other people can do it for her but it's uncomfortable to hear her after all this time as passed since she became certified....
I think QVC took a page from JTV and had some of the hosts that present jewelry go to a class to be certified gemologists so they can better discuss the history of the gems and the different cuts, the clarity, and difference in quality of the stones in the jewelry they are selling.....however it seems that this knowledge is seldom conveyed on the shows...LOL! I think Jane Tracey is certified too............And I think Peyton went to the actual countries and visited mines and talked to collectors selling the gems instead of having just "book knowledge" of the gems and passing a test like Nancy and Jane did..........
@Spurt, I doubt any network will pay for a host to take those classes. It takes a while to become a CG. It's not cheap either. I do believe they hire CG and other specialists like buyers who have credentials. Thinking for the corporate point of view, it's not in their best interest to pay anyone to do this.
