I am 5 foot tall and any inseam of more than 26 inches is too long on me unless I wear heels (and at age 62 I don't wear much).  Sometimes I will buy petite ankle pants so they don't have to be hemmed as I don't sew and no one in my small town does hemming.  It can be a pain to find pant lengths that work for me.
