Never in my entire life up until today have I ever seen a man wearing a pearl necklace. But as they say difference strokes for difference folks.

I have lots of times.

On award shows, Red Carpet, fashion shows, music events.

If you only watch certain things you might not. It is not that unusual. I've seen it for years.

It isn't something I'm used to men wearing.  To be blunt, I consider them to be too feminine, IMO, the most feminine of all jewelry; however, it's all about what we become used to seeing.  Repetitiveness, familiarity, can make something appear normal when in the past it wasn't.

I could care less, though, what important men wore them in the past, I wouldn't be seen with a husband wearing them.

If you're referring to Isaac Mizrahi, he's worn pearls many times as seen on QVC. I don't think of pearls as reserved for women only.

There was another thread posted recently about men and pearls with some references to pearls being very popular on the clothing and jewelry choices among many British kings and leaders in other cultures. Loads of pearls among other gems decorating Royal crowns.

There are  probably a lot of stylings many of us haven't seen here in America. It's a big world.

@Foxxee I've seen many men wear what some assume is jewelry only for women.   I seriously doubt any of the men I have seen would be interested in being DH to you, me, or Suzy from down the block.

Ropes of pearls or a Pearl on a rope?  I've seen men who wore a south sea pearl on a leather cord since I was in high school. but no one who wore a string of pearls.  If they like 'em then why not?
