I like Pat, she's always professional when presenting. My gripe with her is that she's always referring to the female vendors as "busy moms". She's done this for years. We're all busy in our own right.

She refers to the vendor as being a busy Mom as an assumption?

@Glitter51 - If this bothers you, watching QVC is probably something you'll always find offensive. I have heard every single host use the phrase "busy moms" (Amy Stran and David Venable probably say it in every show) to describe the vendors of and the target audience for a wide range of products. Today, with the Ninja and its time-saving and effort-saving features, you're likely to hear the phrase many times. And since quite a lot of products on QVC are in fact sold by, purchased by, and used by busy moms, it makes perfect sense to use that phrase.
When a host describes someone as a busy mom, it has no direct connection to you. None. They don't know you. They're not saying anything about you. They're not even saying anything about people who aren't busy moms. For example, I don't like birds at all, but I kept watching a gardening show the other day even when they mentioned that a particular floral variety was great for bird lovers. These are just sales pitches—nothing more.

I'd pay money to hear a host describe someone as being a "busy single".
Pat tends to latch onto certain phrases and repeat them incessantly for years.

By saying that, she's flattering herself as much as them, because she was and is a mom and a busy one at that.

As a mom that's not so busy...I still don't mind the term "busy mom".
Let's all try to come up with some new phrases and see how creative we can get. Maybe we'll hear a few on air!
I'll start:
"Clumsy Cooks"
"Savvy Chefs"
"Grumpy Grillers"
"Sloppy Choppers"

Why should anyone be offended? I surely am not. My “busy mom” days are long over, but being a mother was the busiest and most important job I’ve ever had. I am sure my husband would say the same about his father role. Two kids, girl and boy, who were opposite in about every way possible.
Now we are Opa and Mimi to our two grandchildren. Both their parents are very busy.

I agree with you on one point, "When a host describes someone as a busy mom, it has no direct connection to you. None."
So when they are telling viewers about busy moms the audience that doesnt meet that description tunes them out since there's no connection and that's not good for sales!!!
And thats THE PROBLEM!!!! This sales pitch is cutting off part of QVC's potential customer base. QVC recently shared their 4th quarter results (retail's busiest season) and the results weren't good....(revenue was down 8 to 9%)....This is from their press release:
“Revenue performance at QxH deteriorated throughout the fourth quarter. We are not pleased with these results and are actively taking steps to improve our long-term performance across business units."
So considering these results, QVC needs all the customers they can get. Alienating singles, empty nesters, and childless couples isn't a good thing.....And what about men that cook---they are ignoring them too....EVERYONE IS BUSY NOT JUST MOMS, AND EVERYONE WANTS TO SAVE TIME....these outdated and old fashioned sales spiels aren't helping QVC sales!!! They should just say "these days people are looking for ways to save time and QVC has a solution for you"....

They should just say---"everyone seems to be extra busy these days and are looking for ways to save time"......
