This is the second time that I have ordered a cookbook from QVC and both times they have come in boxes 3-4 times larger than the book and then the box is filled with packing peanuts and then I have to put these in a garbage bag that I pay $2.50 for to get rid of them as they are not recyclable. I paid 6.22 in postage for the last one and I am sure most of this was for those darn peanuts. Never again will I buy a cookbook from QVC no matter how much I want it. I will go to Amazon and buy the book and I can have free shipping if I spend $25 and no sales tax. I do not understand why I have to pay sales tax here in Minnesota as you have no QVC store in this state and the law here is if there is no store in the state I should not pay sales tax. My son has an internet business and he does not charge sales tax on his orders from out of state, the only ones he charges tax on is Minnesota orders. So, why is it okay for him to do this and not QVC??? And Amazon does not use peanuts but bubble wrap their books.
