All of the hosts are still around doing busy work like social media... ...no big bucks being saved there.

I hardly ever watch live, but do go online to see "Items recently on air".  Guess what??  It's always the same items over and over and over!  I just do not understand this!!

Who in the world is choosing what items are to be shown??  What a joke!

Between those mugs and Dennis Basso, one could lose one's mind.  Then it's the same hosts every day over and over.  Alberti is getting on my nerves to the point I can't stand to watch 2 minutes of him.   Others are a close second.  QVC has outdone itself with boring repetitiveness this year, and the hosts have amped up their obnoxious factor by 100%.

@Kachina624

I was flipping through the channels and it seemed at every turn it was the Basso coat...did they ever sell even ONE in gray????....OR those mugs.(I couldnt believe the number they brought in for each design--OMG)...then there was Mally and Ru Paul....couldnt grab my remote fast enough....flipped it to my NBA Spurs game and watched my team LOSE which was more fun than QVC's programming... Woman Frustrated

And your right...all the hosts seem to have gotten the memo to really RAMP IT UP and really use high pressure tactics to get those sales!!!!....Even Leah who is normally calm and pleasant to watch was a bit rude to Dennis, talked over him, she didnt answer a question he asked....and gave a hyped up spiel.....and Carolyn was very push early on in the day too....Yep QVC must be in serious trouble....partly because of their shipping issues, and partly because of the STALE products/programming....But these "used car" sales tactics are a turnoff and definitely make me watch something else...Woman Tongue

If QVC is not making enough money to warrant being live from 1am-7am, then of course  they will show repeats. The few people who have complained about this are no comparison to the millions who shop at other times.

You can shop online at QVC or anywhere and there are numerous cable stations on all night. I don't get who wants to watch hours and hours of QVC at anytime!

@ellaphant

Sorry, but QVCs audience and sales appear to be dwindling AT ALL HOURS and if QVC needs to cut costs....go back to ONE Channel, that way they will save money and not have to go to repeat programming....

You say its a small group that posts here, but a good representation of whats happening to QVC's bottom line and as a company. ...  Read the press conference from QVC's CEO and other Execs.. We could have told them what they saw months ago that was stated in their recent financial report....QVC would be wise to listen to their customers...JCP didnt and now they are in serious trouble and backpeddling and trying to bring customers back...QVC may be in the same boat in the future....

First, millions and millions of people do not shop at QVC. That is laughable and patently absurd. They throw that nonsense out when referring to being accessible and potentially available in homes via cable. I doubt that even tens of thousands watch.

Second, there are not a few complaints about the reruns. The vast majority of comments expressed displeasure and disappointment, both here and on the QVC Facebook page.

I believe these complaints are why they are reinstating 1 hour of live programming beginning tomorrow.

It is clear to me that this was an ill conceived, poorly thought out decision by a fiscally pressured, collapsing enterprise.

@Johnnyeager   This is new to me , what hour are they reinstating?  Thanks in advance

I'm not sure if they have reinstated one hour of live programming.  They may be just repeating that live hour from 1am to 2am (which was always live through these repeated mornings), for a second showing -- 2am to 3am.  Then playing the 3am show over & over until live programming picks back up at 7am.  Therefore 2am to 7am is still all repeats.

@Foxxee   Let's face it Amazon is killing everyone.  I was a loyal Walmart shopper and doing away with cashiers, having no one around to ask a question, shelves always empty, in Florida you need to go in with a suit of armour in order to survive with all the carts running around.   I have come to hate Walmart, so I have been ordering mostly of Amazon.  If Walmart fails, it is their own dumb fault.  Just like QVC.  Why have these boards if no one is reading them?   You have to keep programming interesting and that they are not doing.

@BalletBabe

Sounds like your Walmart needs a helper.  Normally, when a Walmart is so busy, they build another nearby to 10 miles away taking away the pressure from the one or two overwhelmed called "overflow" to handle all the customers.  It must be nice to sell so much a retailer has difficulty keeping their shelves stocked.  That's the problem.  Sometimes, it's a supplier issue.

It's not only Walmart out of things, my busy grocery stores are too.

Walmarts around me still have some cashiers.  For assistance, I always go to Customer Service who are there to call someone to help.  CS is in the front of the store, not difficult to find.

Just reported, Walmart, Target, Lowes, and TJ Maxx topping all other retailers are doing phenomenally well.  5%+ increase in sales so far this year.  Amazon not so much.  Amazon is killing quite a few retailers, but not Walmart.  Amazon's $249 billion in sales compared to Walmart's $500+ billion last year.

Same as Amazon, Walmart also has a huge online presence offering many more products than in stores.  Free shipping, $35 minimum purchase, next day delivery.  Placed an order around 11:00 am today.  Delivery tomorrow.

I could have ordered the same items at Amazon that were around the same price, but I never get anything in less than 5-7 days directly from Amazon and not interested in paying for Prime.  Walmart has nothing like Prime.

Lastly, Walmart doesn't raise prices while I'm looking at them like Amazon does.  At least 5 times in the past.

@Foxxee  You cannot look at Amazon as only a fast shipping with prime.   If you have a Amazon stick you can get a lot of TV with it.  I personally love getting things in one to two days.  If you use their credit card you get 5% back.  Walmart is trying to compete with amazon.  Tey just came out with a new credit card.  They had syncrony and are now switching to Capitol One giving a 5% back.  The problem here is the snow birds.  We have several Walmarts about 20min apart.  The one closest to my house is a super Walmart.  The birds come in and then the scooters come out.  They only have 2 cashiers now, and the rest are self check out.  I don't see how anyone can compare to Amazon.  They have the music, fast shipping, TV programs, special sales for Prime members and more.   Yes, some things I buy at Walmart such as my food.  I try to go once a month at the most.  Walmart dot com is a nightmare.  They sent my last order to New York.  I live in Florida.  I waited 3 weeks to get the order.  You can have them.  This is not my first issue with the walmart dot com.  I am done with them.  I like you could not see being a Prime member, but now that I am on  my second year, I will never give it up.  It pays for itself in a few months.  You have to shop around and I do, but Amazon gets most of my business.  Having huge bags of dog food delivered is a blessing to me. (just an example) Not sure where you are getting your information because I have heard Walmart is struggling.   I also heard Target is closiing some stores in 2020.   Who knows.  I guess I will shop with whoever is open. LOL

@BalletBabe

Amazon is starting to show some dents in its armor....

Did you see my post in  THIRD QUARTER RESULTS topic....I shared an article where Walmart and Target have caught up to Amazon in order delivery ...and how Amazon took a huge hit in revenues paying for increasing costs of shipping and fulfillment to keep up with their order demands for fast delivery, and also keeping up with the competition thats breathing down their neck too  (Walmart & Amazon are neck and neck and now Amazon is even paying for advertising --why would they bother if they are the retail king)...

Also too many customers are finding out Amazon is not always the lowest too.....Watch the cost of Prime go up...or the goodies that come along with Prime to be reduced or go away....

I do home delivery through my grocery store....works out to $8.50 a month---get my large bags of cat food, tubs of cat litter, laundry detergent etc etc and other grocery needs delivered in one hour....Woman Very Happy Good retailers are making adjustments to compete to stay in the retail game........

I think all retailers are going the route of self check....a friend and I were in a recently remodelled Target....employees were stocking and polishing floors...there were no cashiers and the "hostess" said only self check is available no cashiers would be opened....This seems to be the future of in-store shopping...Woman Frustrated
