I see the old double standard at work here. I have read several threads where they complained about the host stating that the item was just (ie) under 50.00, when it was 49.98, also omitting the change amount.
Now when someone calls them on it many think its rude and uncalled for.
About not completely describing the materal, I have watched shows where info was lacking and it is aggravating.
Same here she was called on for not doing a thorough job, but now its ok?

The material is available under product description. Seems kind of silly all around. JMO

I am just wondering why would anyone waste their time to b—— about 98 cents.

I am one that thinks the hosts are there to do a job and if they aren't doing it, find another job. It is a hosts job to give all pertinent information necessary for buyers to make an informed purchase. That includes giving fabric content, care instructions, sizing information, colors, price, etc. If the host can't manage to get that information out, what is the point of them being there? I shouldn't have to fire up my computer, table, phone, etc. to get information the host should be giving me.
I know it's only 98 cents but an accurate and full price should be given by the hosts. However, that is less offensive then some of the hosts who never, ever state the full cost of what they are selling ever, they just give an easy pay amount (yes Sandra Bennett, I'm talking about you).
Whether I think a host is adorable or not isn't the point. I have always liked Shawn too but lately I'm getting tired of the "what Shawn shop shows".

@Lipstickdiva This right here is one of the main reasons I stopped watching her shows. I know a lot of the hosts are shopping in some of their shows, but Shawn makes it a full-time event, and gets a diva attitude about it. She seems like a nice person, but I do not find her hosting adorable in the least. I may miss out on product launches of the latest celebrity "it thing," but then QVC misses out on my money as well.

Like many of you, I'm puzzled WHY hosts cannot give the exact price, and pertinent information during the presentation. It should just be the policy.
That would prevent anyone from calling up and calling out a host that isn't doing the basics.
It is not too much to ask to know what the fabric content is. Also, how about care? So much time is spent blathering about things that have no connection to the presentation.
Yea, I get the physcology of using the lesser number and avoiding shipping charges, but it's annoying.
And, that, again, is another reason I stopped watching and shopping.

Shawn appears to consider herself a diva....she is a salesperson and should behave accordingly!! That includes giving correct information, and using tact!

@erichuwrote:did anyone hear the caller on pm style last night? First she pointed out that the vendor neglected to mention the fabric of the spanx leggings. Then she said that Shawn keeps saying they're $44 when they're really $44>98. She pointed out that shawn ALWAYS does that. Very very awkward.
No, I did not hear it because I stopped watching PM Style several months ago....just too much useless chatter for me. I am interested in the products...not all the chatting.
I check the recently shown items and shop online.....works for me.

I think it was good she was called out too, but she then went on to continue stating the price as she did before. I also dislike when they say "this top is only $9.00"--without saying that is the first payment of 4 (or more). Very misleading. I'm sure there are some people that misunderstand the total price they will be paying.
