I have never seen so many so upset by a decision to let Hosts go. This is disgraceful and I believe this is going to hurt QVC. So many bad decisions being made.

Same stale products offered over and over.
Shipping and return issues
2 Hosts why??
The fiasco with the boards a year ago
Hosts that run around the sets acting like grade school children Why?
The same Host on almost every night? That MANY complain about. Why?
and on and on and on.
So many other things could have been done to save money. Some of the new Hosts are just down right BAD. So you get rid of two long term dedicated Hosts? Why? Why so much time spent on creating these extra shows that no one watches. Remember when the Customer was always right? Now you listen to no one that has been a long time Customer. I have NEVER seen people so upset like this.
I never saw so many Posters that are new posting, because they are so upset. QVC you are killing yourself. SAD
This is the beginning of the end if you ask me.

It used to be "last hired - first fired". Now only the protected classes matter.
What they have done to Carolyn and Dan is just wrong.

So very well said! Disgraceful for sure! Terrible new hosts that we aren't allowed to criticize and bad policies all around. I am done with QVC.

I've been saying the same things for a few years now.
I really don't care who gets laid off. I do wish them well and hope they land on their feet.
I care that there are any layoffs, read more below.
Hosts are not friends or even acquantances - they are salespeople. If viewers think they're anything else, Q did what it wanted to do and sucked people into that thinking.
Q is a huge corporation. Huge corporations do not value employees, no matter their job level. The easiest way to save money is to let employees go. And corporations do it without a second thought. (I was in a position to know before I retired.)
Letting people go is easier than looking at the business plan and digging to find out why sales are down. Your list above includes many of those. I'd add prices that are not competitive.
Same hosts on every night? How would any of us feel if told our jobs now required overnight work or some other change of hours? 99% would hate it. So do hosts.
I'm pretty jaded about big corporations. I worked for a huge international corp for nearly 40 years in a number of mid to high level positions. I took a lot of heat for treating my employees like adults and valuing them. The stories I could tell would curl your hair.

What seems weird to me is that QVC doesn't seem to understand that it is the older crowd that is doing the "watching." I can't believe the younger crowd they are trying to please doesn't do 90% of their Q shopping online.

Consider for a minute, that there are lots of differing opinions on this.
Yes, what you see are the posts from people who are very upset. They need a place to voice their concern and sheer anger. So many new posters need a place to show their outrage (and some post nasty things about their least favorite hosts).
But QVC has millions of viewers, millions.
Could it be considered for a moment, that the reason you don't see more "I'm fine with QVC" or "Host turnover doesn't phase me in the least" is because those people don't feel the need to post about it?
Let's face it. If you're pleased with something, or feel indifferent to something, you go on with your day. No need to post something like, "OK, now what's the TSV tomorrow?"
Some people get so hyped by other people feeling the same way they do, they forget there are just as many, or many more, that feel the opposite as they do.
I really have no feeling about Carolyn or Dan leaving. Doesn't change my viewing or shopping.
My QVC shopping habits changed because of QVC's abysmal shipping, repetitive & boring product lines, and no real discounts that matter to the shopper. Easy Pay is a panacea to their rising prices. I turn the channel when I see another t-shirt using up live TV time.
QVC will continue to be one of my places to shop. I just hope they truly improve their business.
