Back to school her starts next month, just a few weeks away in mid August..🏫...so "fall"🍂🏈  if you can call it that in Texas is on the minds of a lot of people....and it will be here before you know it...Retailers always put seasonal merchandise ahead of time....Remember those swim suits in February!!! 🩱

As far as Turkey and mash potatoes, they always have pre-cooked roasted Turkey breast for sale at our grocery store, HEB, so it's popular and we eat Turkey a lot...Turkey is not just for Thanskgiving any more...🍗🦃

ps. I was at our casino clothing shops today...all in full swing summer mode, still full price too. Not a one shop was even hinting at fall clothing yet. Just sayin'. Q must have a different "business model." 😏

@amyb   Usually closer to the holidays...August (LOL), they stress elastic waist pants and flowy tops with the sales' pitch that you can overeat!!! That definitely sends the wrong message.

Mashed potatoes, turkey, and gravy are good any time of the year! Why not? I don't see that it is a fall/winter thing. Same with ice cream for me.....good any time of the year.

@Spurt Agreed, my friend!  Turkey and dressing is on the menu at Cracker Barrel each and every Thursday for either a lunch portion or dinner platter.  I think I know what I'm having tomorrow!

PS:  I start back next week at school and my kids come the following week.  We're early birds!

It's been right at 100 degrees, often above, every day for the past 4 weeks and same expected for the next 10 days. Not a drop of rain. I want clothes that remind me of ice cold lemonade and a cabana.
