You have to be very quick if you want to cancel an order.

I've ordered things for my daughter in Denver, then texted her.  She looked at it right away and thumbs down.

Then I call or go on line to cancel and within minutes they say, "Sorry....can't do it".

I only wish I'd get the orders that quick.

@Annabellethecat66  You are correct...QVC has shortened the length of time/window of opportunity to cancel an order. I remember when I would occassionally cancel an order in the past I could even do it the next day. Not anymore, that's for sure. Orders seem like they are virtually locked in almost immediately.

Thank goodness I rarely want to cancel an order.

I think QVC made those changes because too many folks cancel their orders and get too caught up in the impulse buying/buyer's remorse.

I don't know what the window is for canceling orders at other retailers because I truly rarely cancel an order and that is anywhere.

Spent Friday night on the couch with the Q and a bottle of wine and low and behold I wake up this morning and see I spent over $500!  HA!

I think a night out to dinner and a nice bottle of wine would have been cheaper.  BUT...I look forward to receiving the kitchen gadgets, food, and whatever else I bought three glasses in!

@NJBeach  Sounds like you had fun!   r.gif

Omg...   It's not an issue for you, so enjoy your goodies when they arrive.  When I was having pain issues, I'd get up in the wee hours to take my medication and I'd play around online until kit kicked in and I could go back to bed.  I did some "zombie" shopping.  Not anywhere near $500 but packages would arrive from Evine or Qvc and I didn't remember ordering anything.  The first time or two, I thought it was some type of error but after it happened several more times, I realized I was zombie shopping.

Re: Ouch my bank account! Haha!

@Annabellethecat66   It does seem that the ability to cancel is pretty much non-existent now....so I sometimes order the color that is on waitlist and that gives me sometimes days to cancel.   If its something where the color doesn't really matter to me, like Lock & Lock, it seems to work out well for me just ordering the one on waitlist.

If you decide you want another color and it is back in stock, I've asked customer service to switch the color (therefore cancelling the waitlist order), and get the preferred color for the same price as the one on waitlist.

@NJBeach   My (BIG) birthday is tomorrow.  Can't wait for that gift!  LOL

Thanks for the laugh.  I'm glad you're happy with your purchases!  (Or, at least, they are very interesting!)

@ItsME, happy birthday! Not to be rude, but you kinda opened that door. Care to share how BIG is BIG? I never thought any of them were too big, until I hit 60, then 65. But turns out there are lots of upsides to those BIG ones! Four grandkids being the best! Enjoy your BiG day! Peace, LuLu
