It's looking and listening.  She mentions exactly what has been said on social media, then proceeds to amp up that very thing. I stated my own perception of that behavior.

Imagine if you went to a brick and mortar store, and you saw an item you liked and wanted more info on sizing, material,length, availability, durability,etc...

And then, TWO goofy salespeople came out, dressed in sherpa pajamas,  giggling and laughing and dancing and they started regaling you with stories about their daughters, thier hilarious vacations, thier youthful desires to be a ballet dancer,or a garbage collector,  and how many real teeth they has left in thier mouths....they open wide and, pulling thier cheeks apart with thier long different colored dagger fingernails... try to say "Shheee??? Shhhee this one???? thish one???" while you look on in disbelief...

( in other words,totally irrelevant nonsense to what you NEED to learn about the item, which by now, you've forgotten what you want to ask.....)

At what point would you have turned and walked out?

About as fast as we change the channels I would bet.

Be prepared to see two host because they are doing the holiday season and most shows will have two host. This is done every year for awhile now.

I thought that some of them do it because of the stress of that job. I also heard kourtney say how stressed she be between her shoulders, in other words I can relate to that. The job requires them to please alot of people and some days no matter what not everyone will like it. I realize talking for four hours and then the meetings before the show can affect alot of how you react on air. I could never do that job and not let my emotions be shown.

I haven't watched a live show in a very long time.The shows here seem so juvenile, with squirrels and the goofing around.  I don't have cable and am not a tv watcher.  I usually just check the guide and  click on the products that interest me.

I will watch an hour show of Marla over on HSN, and today I sat long enough to watch three hours on ShopHQ which is very unusual for me.  One host and the info I want gets covered, and I usually buy on these shows. Two hosts do nothing for me; the guest can't speak much over two people.

Now take it one step further...an HOUR of trying to sound enthused about some piece of imported dreck that you know is useless, overpriced, gimmicky or just cheap junk.

Of course, they are salespeople....the same kind of folks who used to have to excitedly sell people junky Vegas and Pintos when what they wanted to push were the Lincolns and Cadillacs!!!

I give them credit for holding it together during a lot of these presentations...

That silly stretch mat will go the way of the ThighMaster, the Vibrating Platform, and those deep breathing exercises  that Greer somebody used to push...or "Coral Calcium" pills...remember them?!?!?!?

Or the liquids that improved the frequency, length and diameter of your bowel movements ?*

* LUME has taken the place of larger bowel movement gimmick....I think the same woman is doing the up close quality control, with her sensitive nose and her pink micrometer....

( A micrometer is a precision tool used to measure tiny things...like the girth of an inadequate bowel moverment, or, well, you know!!!!)

Test for yourself....take something you bought from QVC that presumeably, you like ( you bought it) and, standing at your kitchen table, talk about it for an hour. 

Or in your bedroom...pet the sheets or blanket for a hour!!!!

Use a timer....you'll be into it about 2 minutes, it'll feel like 45, and when you look at the timer and have 58 minutes left to talk about a vacuum, Mark Charles snips, a pot, a HALO...whatever......

But they've pegged the meter in the opposite direction now.....from one host selling an item, to two or even three hosts acting like children on a sugar high.

It's becoming unwatchable with the volume on, and really, a channel changer for me.

I agree with you.  I could never do that job. Stand in front of a camera for at least an hour and talk about a vacuum cleaner, bedding etc.  I am sure when they interviewed for these jobs, the hours, ups and downs, yays and nays were all explained in depth to them.  They accepted so it's up to them.  The job market seems pretty wide open so there other options. Wishing the best to all.

It is their job to talk for as many hours they are given, sure it not an easy job, but they know what is required when they apply so if you can't do it apply for something else. All jobs have stress.  I just don't understand how they can keep a job when they are so unpofessional and sometimes obviously have not prepared themselves for their shift.  Some need to retire for sure and I can't wait to watch the LAST show!!!! Good Bye!!
