I really should do the same.  For more than one month, though.

I have QVC on for background noise and to hear something that isn't hard news, negative, and grisly in tone, like so much of TV is these days.  Let's face it, everyone on QVC seems so happy!  I also like a lot of the products....love clothes, makeup, home decor.  You know the story.

Unfortunately it leads me to make too many purchases.  Even though  I can afford it, it's not that I'm  putting myself into debt or anything, who needs all this stuff?  Who needs to make unnecessary returns?

I even went so far as to put a "parental control" thing on, so I wouldn't be tempted to hit the channel when I'm drifting off to sleep at night.  But, I soon removed the control, as I was missing the channel too much.

I'm just so tired at night after a day of slaving around the house (actually I am extremely busy and physically active during the day) and my eyes bother me, so I have to limit my night-time reading which  I used to love, that the TV has become a crutch.

Just a bad habit, that I really need to break.

Congratulations on one month.

Unfortunately I have to buy a new car this year, so all money saved is going towards that.   And no, I do not spend enough on QVC to purchase the new car.Smiley LOL
