“One Day Only” Pricing, Maybe...

Yesterday a Logo top I considered said one-day price (reduction of 15-20 bucks off.). Turns out price jacked back up at 4pm EST. I called CS she said that wasn’t until midnight, read the fine print, tough. Ok. I would prefer it be called a ‘temporary price reduction’. But ok. No sale and grumpy.

@birdQ13

The wording 'one DAY only price' implies for a 24 hour period in my mind.

Very, very sneaky with the 'fine print', IMO.

I don't blame you at all for being grumpy about it, I would be too.

Well that is just wrong! Anywhere in the retail world ONE DAY is ONE DAY...not until 4pm.
What the heck?

Re: “One Day Only” Pricing, Maybe...

I didn't watch any Logo shows yesterday but did catch one (maybe two) presentations that were one TIME only.  It was clearly stated that the price was for that particular show only.

I suspect there will be more on time only offerings leading up to the Christmas selling frenzy.

You have to really pay attention and, yes--"read the fine print"--with all the specials now.  Gone are the days of just the "Today's Special Value" only.  Now there are umpteen specials--all with different names and terms--during the course of a day.

This seems to be a new strategy among many retailers nowadays.

@birdQ13: QVC recently started offering "One Time Only" sales. I believe that top was offered as a "One Time Only" item. Which means, the sale price is only offered for that particular show.

One Time Only Price

One of the many surprises and delights about shopping QVC® is the opportunity to take advantage of our One Time Only Price on select items. A One Time Only Price pops up unexpectedly* and offers a savings off the QVC Price that’s only valid until the end of the show in which it appears or until the item has sold out, whichever occurs first. It’s the lowest price you’ll see on that item for six months. But our One Time Only Price goes up at the end of the show, so shop early in the show to save.

*Select items with a One Time Only Price may be previewed or pre-sold in advance.

I've seen one time only and one day only prices offered at 10PM or 11:15PM when they know most are already under the covers. It lets them off the hook. Who watches 24 hrs. a day?

@sunshine45   Thanks for the info, but navigating this site to find what you need is close to ridiculous.
