Leah looks wonderful. I don't think she lost weight quickly. I think she had said it was about a year.

You are correct; she started her weight loss in January 2018. I get tired of the catty "she had weight loss surgery" posts that have showed up occasionally. People are so clueless.

Yet I've never seen her do any jewelry shows. You ladies are right about how she adds just enough fun to the presentations she does.
She doesn't go around saying, "I have this and I have that and so on".
I think no matter how many achievements women get (as far as equality) they still seem to be hindered by other women commenting on weight.
Why is it when a woman looses weight other's say, "She looks good?"
I've known some very overweight women who look and are amazing!
I don't think the size of a woman determines how good she looks. I think there are many other factors that determine how a woman looks, size isn't one of them.
I know everyone here isn't being mean or catty, it just bothers me when people comment that just because someone looses weight they 'look good'.
She's always been beautiful.
I guess I'm a little testy when it comes to that because I know two people who are going through some major medical problems. They've both lost a lot of weight due to their medical problems.
It's interesting.....because I've heard from both of them that it bothers them when people say "they look good" because they've lost weight when the entire reason they've lost weight is due to health problems.
I guess there are two sides to everything. I know it's hard to know what to say when you notice someone has lost a lot of weight (like Leah) and my two friends because it's very noticeable when someone looses weight (especially quickly)....
When are women ever going to get over this weight thing?
Maybe it's because I'm old now that I realize the weight I've lost would hold a dump truck over the years. At my age I'm just glad I'm healthy.
I hope Leah is healthy. If she's happy, that's what matters most.
Thank you for the lovely post!

@Annabellethecat66 I agree with you, love; however, I am on a diet because my health has been suffering due to gaining weight. My knees are going bad and my blood presssure is up. I've never, ever had high blood pressure in my life until now. While I admit I prefer to be "not" overweight because my clothes fit better and I look much better, it had to be health issues that drove me to lose. Case in point, there are other reasons other than vanity for us to lose weight ~ perhaps Leah also had some health concerns. Not sayin', please no one spread a rumor. LOL

@Annabellethecat66 Leah is one of my favorite hosts. She is poised and pleasant and a delight to all the vendors, models and viewers. However, I think there are specialties amongst all the hosts and they shine in their best venue.
Have you ever seen Leah do jewelry shows? Her natural voice stutter, while it doesn't bother me in her other shows, is to me, extremely bothersome when she presents jewelry. Say what you want about a former host and her soothing golf voice when presenting jewelry, but it does take a lot of grace and fluidity to successfully sell jewelry.
Jewelry is more of an emotional purchase; it can make you swoon, if sold correctly. Leah's stops & starts in her talking patterns is a distraction in jewelry shows. I have seen her selling jewelry a total of three times over the years, and each time it's a train wreck. There's always confusion, something seems to go wrong, she rearranges the presentation on the table or stand, but that always leads to more confusion. In the end, you're left with nervous laughter, or those off camera chats with the crew.
Leah is absolutely wonderful, I try to watch all of her shows. But there's a reason she does not sell jewelry more often.

There often are many reasons why people lose weight. I have had a weight peoblem all my life.Always trying to lose weight..In the last few years I was fighting a losing battle. I essentially had given up. Recently I took off over 20lbs and it wasn't being on a diet. I had DENTAL ISSUES and wasn't able to chew properly. So, I was just eating less, mainly because I wasn't enjoying what I was eating.I was exercising with Leslie Sansone's WALK AT HOME programs and I didn't even realize that I was losing weight..What I found out was that I was eating way more than I actually needed. I found out that I can eat whatever I want to,just eat a little of it..I really haven't changed what I eat,JUST HOW MUCH and I have been exercising and I believe that, that makes the difference... The Upside is my joints feel better,I look better and I think I finally found a way to stay healthy for the rest of my life!

@Caaareful Shopper, within the last week or so, Leah presented earrings during a weekday AMS and it was, like you said, a trainwreck. It was a your choice of size and style and she kept rearranging everything and it ended up a confusing mess. LOL

@Lipstickdiva That happens every single time. It's painful to watch.
Nothing beats a few years ago (I will never forget it) when those Extraordinary Life sterling silver bracelets were all the rage on QVC. There were three jewelry stacks of the bracelets, and they all had multiple & different charms on them. However, all of the confusion was her own doing, re-arranging everything. I honestly thought, not exaggerating, that Leah was going to throw the entire display off the table and walk out! I never saw anything like it.

That would have been hilarious!
