Last night on PM Style, at 11:30PM, a Demin & Co. lamb leather jacket was shown as a ONE DAY ONLY price...reduced from $224 to &$99.98 and 5 e/p. Do you really think it's fair to give folks only a 1/2 hr. to take advantage of special pricing....especially when most of us have gone to bed? Or is that the idea..."a great deal, but we won't take a hit because it won't be seen by too many shoppers".

No, but chances are the sizes were so limited it would not make much difference.  When they really cut the price, I find that the sizes are usually really cut as well.

You win some/lose some.  Snooze you lose.  That's the way it goes.

I don't see anything wrong with it.  It's special price that's offered to people who are watching at that particular time.  You snooze....you lose.

It is similar to any stores "flash sale". If you happen to be in the store, you win!

Or Amazon having "daily deals", Kmart having "blue light" specials.

Other stations have "doorbusters". They all do it, and what it really means there is not a lot of quantity, OR they need to get rid of some inventory that is hanging out in warehouses and they are not re-ordering. (they = general sales online or brick and mortar, not just QVC).

Just another sales tactic. Some get lucky, some miss out. That's the name of the shopping game, imo.

You used to be able to to easily find all the ODO items using search. But they took that away. They might as well go back to calling them one time only's at this point.

One Day Only and TSV prices are good until midnight pacific time,so there was no 30-minute window. (Some hosts mention that, but most act like midnight eastern is the end of the day for everyone. It is not.)

Yes, it's fair. Everyone is going to miss out one something at some point. That's life. Some people will miss out on flash sales that take place while they are working or watching kids or sleeping or sick or away from the internet or whatever. Sometimes you will miss out, sometimes someone else will. That does mean it wasn't fair.

It seems like Q is doing this more often.  If you really want it alot and fall into that lucky slot of see the item at great price its wonderful. It makes you mad that the mark ups are so high.  But I have gotten a couple of things do if I can catch a break it's a relief.

This complaint reminds me of those who post complaining that the TSVs are unfair because she was unable to watch on that day because of work, family obligations, etc.

Retailers canot customize their markting campaigns to meet your personal schedule.  Sorry if you think otherwise.
