I bought one of his lighter weight coats years ago. I think it was a TSV, and mine was bright yellow with an animal print lining. It was well made and I liked it, but it actually had bust darts. Who wants bust darts in a coat? I gave it away. I may have worn it once.

I think that is the only thing of his that I bought. He may be talented, but I find him a bit creepy, so I don't watch when he is on.

Dennis reminds me of Martha Stewart in that they think highly of themselves, are a bit intimidating to work beside, and in Dennis' case he doesn't know when to be quiet where Martha makes faces and smirky remarks.The only host I think would not be intimadated would be Shawn but I would think Dennis would rather be with a host who could stand back and let him run the show. I saw a little of the show last night and felt for Amy as she tried to do the whole color thing, how many left, etc. Dennis, as the designer, should give the details of the garment but his insisting on directing the models and everyone on stage is a bit much. Sometimes I am in the mood to watch him perform and sometimes I need to change the channel. He doesn't normally offer a lot in Petite so I don't go out of my way to watch his hours on air.

I love Dennis. His enthusiasm makes me smile. His clothes are classic and well made. His TSV was a fantastic price for a classic jacket that will never go out of style. I bought red and blue. I am back to buy pink.

@kaydee50 i get it. For some reason i am sensitive to certain voices such as Amy's, the rep from American Leather Co. and some newscasters, etc. Not sure what it is, but for some reason i don't have a problem with male voices.

I have a Dennis Basso raincoat that I bought so many years ago, I've forgotten how long it's been.

It was a beautiful mid-purple color (I forget what they called it). It's machine washable, it arrived so beautifully boxed; on a padded hanger, wrapped in tissue paper, every button covered.

That coat still looks like new and I get compliments every single time I wear it. And I got it at a clearance price of something like $34. (No one can believe that's all I paid for it.)

I also have some of his faux fur throws and they're excellent quality.
