Re: OK...So what SHOULD QVC offer?

1 st of all- same deal as the new customers

Free shipping over $50- year round

Rewards program

Improve the speed of returns

I would even be willing to pay a small fee ( similar to Amazon) if you could get expedited and free shipping per item.

I have shopped here since the  beginning so any help would be great!

Re: OK...So what SHOULD QVC offer?

I’ve been a shopper at QVC a long time. I really have no complaints. Shipping costs are high for a company & I don’t expect free shipping. Free returns do occur under certain circumstances.

But, QVC has to draw in new customers & possibly younger clients. Most likely, many older clients like myself, don’t buy as much as they are retired, have opted out of QVC for many reasons I’ve read on this board & some have passed on.

It isn’t unique to give new clients more than seasoned ones. In business, new employees start at a higher rate than many long term employees.

Perhaps, something like Nordstrom notes could be done, or free shipping over a certain amount. I shop at JJill & there was a plan that you signed up for with a decent fee, can’t remember the figure. But, you would then get free shipping on JJill items.

Re: OK...So what SHOULD QVC offer?

If I were them I would simply drop the "shipping" charge and raise prices that amount.  What they are going is offering "free" shipping of say $3.50 on a $45 item--which is less than 10 percent off.

But why should they do anything else?  The free shipping tactic apparently works like a charm becuase if they advertised "$3.50 off of this $45 lipstick" or said "Today only!  7.5 percent off this lipstick" people would say WHAT?  But hey "FREE SHIPPING" hey let's get that deal!

Bottom line is QVC has never had big sales or percents off.  If you don't like the price, buy elsewhere.

I think it would be great if they would follow HSN's lead  in offering coupons for $10 off, 20% off one item, etc. I order much more from HSN than I do QVC.

Free shipping over a certain $$ amount per order for one thing. That would be big

Re: OK...So what SHOULD QVC offer?

When I first heard Pat mention it I really couldn't beileve it ! I mean what about us long time customers whuch there are many just by all the posts . I have been with QVC forty years now !! Where are our rewards 🤔 I feel we should have free shipping as well and after January then maybeb1 week a month also free shipping . Plus no more return charges ! anything over a certain price also free shipping , as some higher priced items can have a shipping of $15-$20 like furniture pieces for example . I don't want to pay $20 so I pass and look elsewhere even though I might very much want the item I won't order till maybe it goes on clearance....maybe. Any furniture items I've ordered on say Wayfair, overstock for example were free shipping I do love that !!

Re: OK...So what SHOULD QVC offer?

If they have too much inventory then put it out online at "real" clearance prices.  $10 or less off is not clearance in my book.

Give everyone free shipping on everything from November 1 - December 24.  Paying $5.50 shipping on a $17 item isn't worth purchasing.

If you spend over a certain amount in one order have a flat rate fee.  I have quit ordering from Woman Within because of the shipping fees.

Send us a coupon randomly for 25% off, free shipping on an order, something to make us want to order from QVC.

I understand that a warehouse burned down, but why does it take so long to return something and get credit for it?  One of the items I returned took almost TWO months to be received and credited.  If there is a backlog of returns hire extra people to clear them out.

Or even a number of free returns per year.  Something like you can  make 5 returns per year for free.  Or credit back the original shipping like they used to.

It’s the inequality of new shoppers getting something that others do not that is the run for me. $3.50 in free shipping may not be much but it’s the principle of the thing.

Re: OK...So what SHOULD QVC offer?

If they do "free" shipping, you will simply pay more for each item, so in reality their price is fixed one way or the other.  They will make their profit or go belly up.

Do you think they are going to discount everything?  Somebody is paying to get it to you and it won't be them.
