Re: OK...So what SHOULD QVC offer?

Nothing now. You blew it, QVC. I was watching Pat with Valerie. Saw a cute item but when I saw $5.50 for shipping, I turned the TV off. When new people buy their 15 items, they will never want to pay shipping again. Extremely bad move. If you had offered me 15 free shipping, I would have used all 15. Extremely bad marketing move. I agree about the terrible shipping. I am still waiting for an item that should have been here days ago. No more Q for me. Will stick with HSN and other companies.

I answered the question...an appology, and same deal, is what I feel we deserve.  An appology would be free!

I got it!!!!

The light came on today!!

QVC  should get into....wait for it...drum roll......

MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLANS!!!!

They are already used to hours long endless boring presentations of the TSV,droning on and on about the wonders of a vacuum or contriving how you can use 412 Lock and Lock containers for storing everything in your home....

They are SO cut out for Medicare Advantage Advertising.....and since 10,000 people a day turn 65  in this country, the audience is HUGE!!!!

Boring, numbing product and repetitious selling techniques....just a PERFECT FIT for a TSV on the "Q".....Why, you could present it in every show...during cooking shows, jewelry shows, CuddleDuds shows....drive the customer INSANE!!!!

Imagine your favoite host....the frenetic and hyper Rachel or Shawn, the quiet and calm Pat, the "old timers" JT or Mary Beth, or the fit and healthy Rick Domeir or David V.....sell sell selling those plans

"People are excited..this is an extraordinary offer...call to check your zipcode boys and girls!!! O my Gracious!!!!" David will gush....

David V can make plastic drain stoppers sound like something you can't live without....imagine how he could spice up Medicare Advantage Plans!!!

Linda Aiello ( new Chief People Officer at QVC)...think about it!!!

They'd sell millions!!!!

As I remember it, the original shipping charge was returned to you no matter what your reason for return was.  The cost to mail the item back was deducted if the return was their fault in some way, such as a defective item, wrong color, wrong size, etc.  This was all before they had the standard fee shipping labels that automatically deduct $8.95 from your return (or however much it is.)  They would actually have to look at your postage to see how much you paid, then refund you if it was their error.  If it was not their error, you were just out the cost you paid at the PO.

@icezeus

"@PhilaLady1

Actually they can tell. Do you remember that when callers would call in, they would put a graphic which stated how long you had been a QVC customer.

Just from the things that we have heard on this forum they are definitely data driven.

How many customers are actually surfing their web site. How many colors are left, how many units have been sold."

I agree with you about QVC being able to tell who is a customer.  When I wrote a review on a certain product it had a message saying verified buyer.  So when people give reviews they know who purchased the items from QVC.

They could elminate the vendors presence as the hosts know everything & also the paid models because the hosts have to model everything.

They should keep the vendors and get rid of the hosts.  We wouldn't have to see hosts claim they are xxs when they are obviously a bigger size.  The vendors could also pair up so they could have the witty banter that the current hosts have with each other.
