They were paired up because they both were pink. Edgy? That's a hoot.

The red carpet has no appeal to me for choosing my clothing. I want a few items approriate to wear to a wedding or more formal social gatherings but that doesn't translate to the red carpet look that relies on a good deal of strategically placed tape.
I also find it interesting how the fashion lines on Q are getting harder to tell apart. The cardigan from the Joan Rivers collection presented last night could easily have been a LOGO piece. All the lines have cold shoulder items, even D&C, or some form of a hi-lo or shark bite hemline. So I guess the stylists have to get creative to catch our attention.

Reminds me of when my dd was little and the wild outfits she would dress in for pre school---no sense in the drama of making her change so I told her to make sure to say, when someone would comment her on her attire--Thank you, I dressed MYSELF!!!! and she said that alot !! My son did the same thing too ---you know , camo pants with a plaid shirt and a Scooby Do sweat shirt----when he was that age. yikes-------hilarious really!!

My daughter wore her hideous Holly Hobbie green and white knee socks with everything, even when most of the color had faded and they no longer fit. After a year of this those socks finally disintegrated.

ANd yet the first quarter earnings report from QVC shows a increase in sales in clothing. SO, just goes to show that complaints on these forums about Q fashions ARE NOT reflective of what the feelings of Q customers since not only are they buying but they are buying more Q clothing.

But I would still like to know the demographic of their clothing sales----because some of the complaints are being directed at the styles and/or being frumpy........Is QVC's clothing being purchased by the 65 and above set that has been with QVC since the CVN days as many of the phone calls attest to, or even comments here on the Forum state??? Or is it being purchased by the demographic QVC's CEO said the company aims for 35 and up.....And would appealing to a wider range of customers help QVC's overall financial picture. where other categories might not be doing as well, and thus help QVC's revenue and sales.............???????????

If it wasn't for complaining, we would be down to about 3 threads per forum on these boards. Roses, unicorns, and rainbows don't seem to get as much traction as the ones that attract both sides of a debate, no matter how banal.

I don't know if they do or even can capture that sort of data. I don't think you are required to provide a birthdate when you open a Q membership account.

If QVC's CEO Mike George was able to provide this in an interview he can obtain data on anything............
"Our customer is a 35- to 65-year-old woman with a somewhat above-average income, The sweet spot of the household income level for QVC goes from $50,000 to $250,000."

YEs but these are huge ranges in age and income. 30 years in age differential and $200,000 swings in income are major, major differences in your market. THey need to find out how many 35 year old shoppers they have vs 65 year olds and households with income of $250,000 are a more desirable demographic then the $50,000 group. ALthough I seriously doubt the $250,000 income folks are doing a lot of buying from QVC.. I don't think they can capture that with any degree of reliability. I am sure they would like to be able to do it but they cannot see their customers and unless birthdate is required to open a QVC account which I doubt they can't get the information that way. NOw if Synchrony Bank shares information with the Q about the QVC credit card holders age and income then maybe but I think that information is skewed since it only applies to purchasers who have a Q card.

@Spurt wrote:I've noticed this for awhile now on QVC.....what are some of QVC's stylist thinking??????????????????? This morning I was watching AM STYLE and had to just shake my head on the combination------ They had a sleeveless seersucker D&C top paired with this lace skirt.....the outfit just looked a bit ODD (to put it mildly) and I've noticed other outfits on fashion shows that seemed out of wack....Anyone else catch this???????? Opinions?????????????
They tried to look a little edgy. Thank goodness we all don't dress the same.
