ODO SG tank is overpriced...

IMO of course this is the reason QVC sales are down. This is not a SG bashing, but an example of a piece of clothing being way overpriced. With tax and S&H it will be almost $40 for a tank??!! This isn't the only brand or garment that is overpriced on QVC, and they wonder why sales are down.

QVC clothing sales are up, not down.  That's why we've had so much fashion this spring.  You must not have seen the Naot shoe show last night where all the sandals were $150 or more.

@wvumountiefanI didn't buy that tank so I have no idea whether it's overpriced or it's underpriced or it's just right like Goldilocks porridge.   How do you know it's overpriced?

Since so much of SG sells out, I doubt her prices are a reason QVC is having trouble -  if they are having trouble.

Agree. Price for her tanks and tunics are ridiculous. Not only Graver items but across th board.

Re: ODO SG tank is overpriced...

It may not be overpriced in some shopper's eyes, but I said IMO it was for me. I know because I placed an online order last week at JCrew and with the sale they had and they also allowed a coupon code to be used for additional savings, and I paid $10 each for tshirts.

I know that SG prices are not to blame for the decline in general at QVC as there are a lot of brands and items overpriced. There are a lot of reasons for some shoppers not buying from the Q like they used to. For me, it's the quality and prices. I can find tanks at American Eagle for less that $35-$40 also. It's not SG fault as QVC sets the prices. I was simply voicing my opinion, not bashing anyone.

A "tank and tunic" she showed tonight was $69.75!! A288499 Jane said for "such a great price"-don't know how she managed to say that.

Its just liquid knit-polyester and spandex the actual material.

That is just crazy!

I just got the Lands End catalog and their best selling tank in 100% cotton is selling for $15.50 and with the 30% off for the whole catalog, it is $11. This price is also good in stores. Just saying, deals are available. They also have lots of swimsuits including build your own suit with tops and bottoms in different sizes, also 30% off.

Re: ODO SG tank is overpriced...

I would pay $40 for a perfect tank.   My shoulders are not small but they are smaller than average, so the strap part of the tank usually doesn't fit well on the average, cheap tank

Also the armholes never fit properly on a cheap tank.   It's hard for me to find a properly shaped tank from the bust up.  If it fits my bust, it doesn't fit my shoulders.

I could probably wear petite but the length would be too short.

I've tried a garment from LE made of the cotton/modal/spandex fabric and didn't like it.   After a couple washings it had no body to it at all, hangs like a rag.

Although I am not a customer of Susan Graver, she has just simply lost touch w/her prices!

QVC owns the SG brand and the prices set are most likely from QVC... It's QVC who has lost touch with their prices.  Unfortunately for the money that is being asked here, plus shipping, plus return shipping if I send it back (which I have more than kept items)... I have now decided to make a day of it and drive the hour and a half to the really good Shopping Mall, try on the items I like and pay (more or less) the same prices (sans shipping) where I can feel the fabric, look at the seaming, notions and make sure it fits before I buy it!!

WHATACONCEPT!!  Imagine that....  heading back to the Mall!!
