Re: Not a Happy Camper - Packing Slips, Return Labels

To me it's no big deal. Online access to purchases is very easy.

It saves tons of paper which would be thrown away too.

The average return rate for retailers was almost 17% in 2021 according to the National Retail Federation.

I would think that QVC's return rate is much higher, purchases being exclusively on-line.  The NRF  reports that the on-line return rate is nearly 21%.

Category Return Rates Return Rate (%)
Apparel10.01%
‍Beauty4.99%
Electronics8.28%
Health and Wellness4.20%
Jewelry8.31%
‍Sports & Outdoors6.10%

Here is what's really really concerning that is costing all of us:  41% of consumers say they’ve purchased multiple items with the intent to return some of them.

Will they mail you a return label if you don't have a printer?

Re: Not a Happy Camper - Packing Slips, Return Labels

I'm still having a very hard time understanding why anyone is complaining about this.  QVC was very unique in including the return packing slips - FOR YEARS.

There are many other companies which I order from that don't include a packing slip.  This is nothing new, honestly for years these other companies (not just the A company).  I NEVER complain about having to go to their website and simply clicking on the return button to print out a return slip.

Its not difficult people and anyone who gives the excuse what if I don't have a printer again you are a small minority making excuses.

@Waterwoman  - Other retailers are doing this also.  You won't get one from Target or Amazon either.

I think everyone should have a printer in the home so one can easily print a return label if one is needed.

You don't have to go to the Post Office. Go to USPS.com and sign up for your mail person to pick up your return during normal mail delivery.  The mail person will come to your door.

@San Antonio Gal @If I do this, will QVC just charge me for the return when they receive it? Will the USPS person have a label to put on the package? Should I notify Customer Service beforehand?

I don't have a working printer. I was only printing once a year.

With my last 2 QVC orders I have gotten packing slips and return labels and that's a good thing because I've returned both items!

I've also gotten return labels and packing slips from Blair and Land's End.  I guess it's just a hit or miss thing with these retailers??!!

Re: Not a Happy Camper - Packing Slips, Return Labels

@kaydee50    I am hoping that Q has had so many complaints from customers about missing labels, they've decided it wasn't such a good idea after all.  I have received quite a few items in the last 2 weeks and they all have included return labels.  One was even a deeply discounted pair of Zuda joggers.  Also to my shock and surprise, orders are shipping very fast and I am receiving them in less than 10 days.  Sometimes I get an order in a couple of days.

Making progress!!!

Re: Not a Happy Camper - Packing Slips, Return Labels

I must be in the minority. I bought a relatively inexpensive printer (I've always had one) and I use my printer a lot.  Like quite a bit.  I can't imagine being without a printer.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: Not a Happy Camper - Packing Slips, Return Labels

Thanks for your information.  My irritation is that the C/S said they will do longer provide packing slips or return labels.  Why should I have to use my printer/ink/paper to return something that was not as described?

Evidently, I haven't been clear in my comments - but thanks to all who took the time.
