It's probably a sales tactic, but I don't see why the hosts shouldn't have the same opportunity to purchase items as the general public. Because she yelled it out, my guess it is a gimmick.

I agree. They can order before or after their show, but I do think it is mostly a sales ploy. "If she likes it, I want it too!"
