Re: Nostalgic for the oldies

I miss Sports Savvy. I was a young, working mom and went to the gym or 'jogged' when I discovered sports savvy and online shopping. Loved wearing my Sports Savvy. People always asked me where I bought my active wear.

After Sports Savvy ceased, I turned to Denim & Company.

I graduated high school in 70s and people missing the 60s decade is always a surprise to me. We share different experiences and memories, but I remember 60s as being turbulent with wars, riots and assasinations. It was an unjust decade to minorities and women. Don't long for those years at all. BUT ... a much-needed beginning to social change and GREAT MUSIC!

I miss the lucky # drawings - the first 4 or the last 4 #'s of your membership #

1 hour to call in.  I won a few times.

And of course, I miss all the shows already mentioned.

My husband misses the Craftsman shows.

I definitely remember when Christopher Radko presented his beautiful ornaments. I guess tastes have changed. That seems like quite a while ago. It seems quality seemed higher then than it does now.

I loved the items Larry Laslo had. Also the Tiffany style lighting programs.

Sorry, but I didn’t spend any of my money on that list. Now if you had added silver style, then we could talk!! It was their silver jewelry before the designer labels shot the prices to outer space that hooked me on QVC.

Peterboro. Baskets.  I still use mine. I liked Walter who cheerfully came on set often  with JRT. The 50|50 tour was great.  Yes,   I could watch all day long, now here and there  seldom ever a full hour.
