No Future LOGO Lori Goldstein shows showing?

Screenshot 2024-09-27 at 12.14.43 AM.png

No LOGO shows are showing on main Q channel for weeks on out.

Anyone have information, perhaps follow Lori on Instagram?

@1Professor

 My only thought...

perhaps the Q figures they make more profit on Christmas items?

Last Saturday AM Style was all holiday.

@1Professor   It does seem to be on less & less; at least their static weekly show has shifted.  All of the Possibility shows and the many Holiday shows may have re-arranged a lot of things.

However, on QVC 2:

this Sunday 8:00 pm, Amy Stran has a LOGO show

Oct. 9, 1:00 pm -- Pat Dementri has a LOGO show

This article mentions that a change with the company happened in June 2024.

XCel Brands announces asset sale to Lori Goldstein Ltd

"XCel Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ:XELB), a New York-based company specializing in patent ownership and licensing, has entered into a definitive agreement to sell certain assets to Lori Goldstein Ltd. The transaction, which was announced today, is set to be effective as of June 30, 2024.

The assets involved in the sale were originally acquired by Gold Licensing, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of XCel Brands, under a prior asset purchase agreement dated March 30, 2021. These assets include intellectual property created subsequent to the original purchase that is based on such assets.

This move comes after a binding term sheet was agreed upon by both parties on May 22, 2024. The agreement between XCel Brands and Lori Goldstein Ltd, which includes the sale of all assets acquired by Gold Licensing, represents a strategic shift for the company, although the specifics of the strategy have not been disclosed.

The financial terms and other details of the asset purchase agreement have not been made public. However, the deal is expected to close by the end of June, with no further conditions mentioned in the press release.

This sale could potentially lead to changes in the operations or strategic direction of XCel Brands, but the company has not provided any further information on the future implications of the transaction.

Investors and market watchers will be keeping a close eye on the developments following this sale, as it may affect XCel Brands' position in the patent owners and lessors market.

The information in this article is based on the 8-K filing by XCel Brands, Inc. with the Securities and Exchange Commission."

To me, this makes it seem like Lori bought back her company after selling it to XCel in 2021. Not sure though because it says assets acquired subsequent to the original purchase.

@Caaareful Shopper   Less & less is definitely the pattern of late!

I don't watch the QVC2 shows because they are always just full of older items that have not sold out.

As a long-time LOGO fan, I want to see what's new.

Yes, the sale and then buy-back of LOGO by Lori has been reported in detail by @They Call Me MR Wilkes which doesn't necessarily offer insights into exactly what Lori's plan is NOW. She should launch a new web page for her line. Did her design team change? Focus revitalize?

What does FEWER LOGO shows tell us about what's happening? Wondering . . .

Re: No Future LOGO Lori Goldstein shows showing?

@Dennieee  Yes, you're right.  That was posted with discussion on the forum back then.

Xcel sued Lori for not making her usual number of appearances and substituting her niece for the main channel LOGO shows.  Subsequently, Lori bought back her brand.

But her niece is now gone and the new brand rep was hired, along with Lori doing more in person shows.  George is not even a part of Lori's team anymore, since becoming the brand rep for Christie Brinkley's line on HSN recently.

I don't know, I think the new brand rep (I cannot remember her name at the moment) has no real knowledge of the fashion industry and comes off as quite boring and unauthentic to the brand.

Lori has a very loyal following, and still new items loaded in inventory.  So the brand seems still popular for QVC.

@Caaareful Shopper

Great observations.

Miss George, who was actually an active award-winning stylist.

The niece was never popular (she's the daughter of Lori's sister, who died of breast cancer).

The "new" brand rep will not last because she adds nothing, no prior connection to fashion whatsoever. Assume she's geographically conveniently located to the Q.

The LOGO line needs the FAN base to buy, and we already have items that were new. Now looking for the next New Thing. In fact, recent "new" items when Xcel bought were basically simple, inexpensive to manufacture (lots of tee shirts, simple straight leg or boyfriend jeans with only minor design features).

There was a time (many of us have them in our closets) when Lori did fabulous innovative denim jackets, blazers, new textiles. Xcel would have been interested in quick turn around for manufacturing and LOTS of every item. Even the most recent denim jacket/blazer only had reverse denim patch pockets; not one size got limited.

Re: No Future LOGO Lori Goldstein shows showing?

I spend alot of time looking at older items that were so much more innovative and beautiful.  I watch older You Tube videos of Q presentations and constantly look on ebay for those items in new condition.  There has been nothing I've been even remotely interested in beyond a couple of tops in the spring and a specific cardigan and tank set.  Most items have been priced so high, I just can't justify paying that. The line looks alot like everything else the Q sells, with a few exceptions, and I'm just not interested any longer.  I'm one of those people that if I find something I like, I buy every color, and fortunately I have accumulated quite a bit and really don't need anything new.

@sunsetbeach

Smiling at your take, which I share.

I'm waiting for colored denim shirt/jackets to come back.

LOGO had such great subtle colors, in lavenders, pale pink/orange, soft greens.

I do search eBay for those sometimes, but insist on new and in my size, not easy to find.
