Also note that the apparently time limited reduced shipping does not apply across the board. I just noted that the TSV is showing a shipping price approaching fifteen bucks... There really are so few actual 'deals' to be had here.

Nope... I wasn't sure which was most appropriate so I used both.

LOL- I'm afraid I'm one of the rare individuals who's used only one nic for as long as I've been a member of this forum.
I don't really get the point of multiple nics I hear about. Well, it's a good way for cowards to have an evil twin I 'spose.
Back to the point, I do support QVC.. I really wanted them to see this message and try to make a change for the better.. that's all. No underlying motive. I figured posting both places would give them a better chance to see this.
Without question their shipping is wasteful.. and now that I see others have done it, on the rare occasion I have to return it will be in one box. I do recycle the envelopes I receive from them.( It's obvious I shop them a lot, or I wouldn't have this complaint.) So, no.. I'm not advocating HSN.. I'm merely using them as an example. They use a method which makes more sense & is more earth friendly.
I can't be responsible for Q's irresponsibility using excessive & unnecessary brown paper envelopes for every individual item.

Back to the point, I do support QVC.. I really wanted them to see this message and try to make a POSITIVE CHANGE FOR US ALL... that's it! No underlying motive. I figured posting both places would give them a better chance to see this!
Without question their shipping is wasteful.. and now that I see others have done it, on the rare occasion I have to return it will be in one box. I do recycle OVC envelopes by using them for mailing. Cleaning out my closet yesterday really drove this point home- a plethora of unnecessary brown envelopes for each small sized item I've ordered!
( It's obvious I shop them a lot, or I wouldn't have this complaint)
So, no.. I'm not advocating HSN.. I'm merely using them as an example. They simply happen to use a method which makes more sense, is more earth friendly & helpful to the customer- saving all the envelopes and shipping fees both in purchases & necessary returns.
I can't be responsible for Q's irresponsibility using excessive & unnecessary brown paper envelopes for every single item sent out!

I think anonymity on the internet breeds cowardice!!!
But as to your issue, I also don't understand why they sometimes send things in separate packages, but other times send several in one package. Maybe because things come from different places, i.e., I bought D & Co Heathered Fleece coats last year in medium, ordered 3 different colors, 2 came and fit perfectly, the 3rd (pink) was way too big. So I ordered a small and it was too small! I ordered another medium, thinking the first one was a fluke, and it was also way too big. Not wanting to keep returning and maybe get "the dreaded letter", I resorted to having a friend order another one in medium, and lo and behold, it fit! During all this, Customer Service told me that the pink might come from a different factory or a different warehouse--personally I think different colors ARE sometimes made in different factories, because the sizing and construction can be completely different from one color to the next.
Also, I don't know how their shipping and package sizing are calculated, but sometimes they send one little clothing item in a box that would hold 10 of that item, instead of sending it in a small plastic envelope package. It would seem that would surely cost them more--we may be dreaming that anyone will pay attention to what we say on here, but it's worth a try!

SO TRUE!

Thank you & AMEN!
PS- Bless my cotton socks... being the queen of editing I edited the original post you quoted a bunch. My motive truly is doing some good for us ALL.

I think it may be that small cosmetic items I buy are usually sent separately- and that's my chief complaint. Actually they do it with jewelry too.. from the same designer, ordered on the same day.
Since I don't order clothes, with the exception of one Rachel Zoe fitted black jacket, they may send those in multiples.
Happy Sunday!!! It's 77 degrees here, I just finished my coffee and ready to get out and enjoy the beautiful sunshine after a long gloomy stint.

But one of the few ways QVC makes money is due to its unique warehousing....and I think that is the problem....and also why it will never change ...In the meantime it is also the reason why better deals are found elsewhere no matter how much the hosts hype the 30 day return policy....
