Question, didn't QVC just fire about four hosts, and now they are hiring new ones????

@Calcgirl  You've been bringing this up repeatedly in multiple ways in different threads.  I'm not sure if you got your answer yet.

Yes, QVC let go four longer-term hosts, and over 400 other employees.  Yes, QVC has now hired 3 brand new hosts.

First of all, thank you for being such a fan of mine, however dear lady, I have only posted this question/comment twice, not multiple ways.  It troubles me when I see employee's dismissed ( who happen to be middle age or older and employed for awhile) and quickly replaced by young, more youthful people.  It is one thing if they are not doing their job, another if age discrimination is taking place.  No, I personally have not experienced this, but I have known very competent professionals that have. I may be wrong, but it appears to happen more to females than males.

I wish the new hosts luck and the ones who lost their jobs very suddenly luck as well.

I hope this clarifies my comments and wish you a good day.

It seems to have more to do with the experiment of permanent reruns on Q2 and doing away with All Beauty All The Time on Q3 and filling that with channel with program reruns too so they had an overabundance of hosts that weren't needed.......  The Q2 reruns didnt work as we see more and more LIVE programming being restored back to Q2, therefore, now more hosts are needed to fill the time slots....Why the hosts that were laid off werent brought back, thats a whole other private decision the Q made...

It's obvious why that happened.

What are you referring to that is obvious?

I watched her for a little bit. I wish they would hire a host that gave full details of a garment at the begining. Also, let the customer know what size the models are wearing and whether to go up or down a size. So far I have not seen or heard that happen.
