Yesterday it was announced that Zulily has laid off employees, following a similar action with the QXH US workforce.

These layoffs are in addition to Qurate's 400 headcount reduction which did not include Zulily.

The exact number and location have not yet been disclosed.

Glad I am on the I can retire anytime side of things.  I don't have to work with the worries of will I make it to retirement.  I plan on next year or maybe even sooner.  I just need to make sure I have it all in order.  Some things to check off my list yet.

My daughter is looking for a job now and not easy to find the right one.  Just keep on looking and interviewing.

I love to shop Zulily.  I just bought a pair of Jai sterling box chain hoop earrings there for $12!

But they've been bleeding revenue for years. Sad about the layoffs.  Their customer service is stellar; always responsive and very quick to refunds or credits.

I wonder how many total employees Zulily has, since they don't warehouse any items.

Qurate cut staff throughout their retail operation so which would include QVC, HSN, Zulily, etc.

The initial cuts of 400 were exclusively at QXH US which is exclusively QVC and HSN.  They did not include Zulily.  This is described in detail in all releases, reports and filings.

"After careful consideration, we have made the very difficult decision to eliminate a number of roles within our Qurate Retail Group team, impacting our QVC US and HSN teams, and our corporate shared services teams in the U.S."

The Zulily layoffs just occurred yesterday and are incremental to the 400.

Probably because most people stream their music through Apple CarPlay, and not Sirius,

Spoiler

I can remember 6 or 7 years ago when I first shopped at Zulily, their annual. earnings report was reflecting increases of  up to 18%.  Then Qurate bought them and they immediately started  going downhill.  They seemed to have lost many of their best vendors, especially in the home goods area.

In Q's quarterly and annual reports it's mentioned that Ballard Designs, Frontgate and I think they also said Garnet Hill, were showing record sales increases. At least they are making some money with these.

I wish the Zulily site didn't keep making me sign in before I can browse. I hate having to look up my password before I take a look. I've been eyeing a pair of Jai earrings for three months. I wonder if they're on Zulily for much cheaper.

Last time I shopped there I got a great deal on perfume.
