@Luvsmyfam    Just download the Cash App... now I only use it within my immediate family for occasions such as Birthdays or at Christmas... the money goes directly into the persons bank account so you would need that information ..once you download the app  you will see the wording Bank Tranfers then just follow the prompts...

I know you said you only send to immediate family, but who would give you their bank information?  I wouldn't.  Besides, if I am sending money or a gift I want it to be a surprise, not calling them to get their bank information.  That's just me.

@Biftu  I'm not a Cash App person but I don't think you need the persons Bank Account. My sister paid someone yesterday by using Cash App and all she asked for was their phone number.

@Biftu   That's not how it works.  You don't have access to people's accounts.  They need to also have the app with their account info set up.

@SamBrown  I didn't get as far as your Post before I answered @Biftu. We said the same thing. Most people use their phone number.

@SamBrown is correct. You do not need the recipient's bank info, all you need is their phone number or their Cash App ID. They would of course have to have the app set up on their phone. Cash App and Venmo work the same. I never send cash through the mail. I use either Zelle, Cash App or Apple Cash. Apple Cash is my and most of my recipients' preferred method.

@DJs mom  I'm a Zeller all the way even though some people are afraid to use it.

Times sure have changed.  I get it, but to me it is so impersonal to send money to someone's account.  I take the time to find the perfect card, write a little note and enclose a check or gift card.  And no, i'm not afraid to do so.  In all the years I have never had a problem.  Maybe I've been luckily or maybe people anticipate a problem that may be unlikely to happen.  Guess I'm showing my age!

@Biftu You have been lucky!  I have had multiple problems with the postal service for several years.  Not getting some checks in the mail, my son never got a birthday card from my mother, Mother's Day card to mom arriving a week after the fact, issues with shipping some packages, etc.

My most recent problem was my brother never received the invitation  to my daughter's wedding last year.  I had her send out another and both arrived after another two weeks.

I never used to have problems before 2017 or so.

@Biftu  you don't have to stop writing checks. The Banks have suggested using fraud prevention gel pens. There are a lot of different types on line and in stores. Google and see which ones you like.
