The only food I've ever sent has been from Wicked Whoopie Pies.  They are made in Maine and everyone who has ever received them loved them.  Not a bad delivery in the bunch.  Always fresh, on time and appreciated.  I'm sorry about your experience.  It's maddening to think you sent a gift and it never got there.  Glad you got your money back.

When presented, they certainly make Cheryl's Cookies look good. Someone sent some to the office a few years ago, and my main complaint was that they really didn't have much flavor to them.

Yes, the cookies look so good when Mary Eckenrode presents them.  I think of her as "Cheryl."  

 

Come to think of it, she never actually eats one on-air.

I don't get the complaints of these cookies having no flavor.  If anything they are overwhelmingly sweet with the thick layer of buttercream icing on top of them, but then again I don't really understand complaints of being too sweet as it IS a cookie.
