There are manicures I like and manicures I dislike but they don't affect my watching a show I want to see.  These days I only watch the Q selectively, so if I have planted myself in front of the TV for a particular show I'm not going to turn it off because I don't like someone's manicure.

My exception would be a cooking show.  I only want to see short nails and minimal jewelry when watching people prepare food.

I prefer shorter also. I love red nails. I think long nails are unappealing

I say to each their own.  Not everyone has the same taste as evident in the clothes they buy.  Watch the product, not the nails.

@foodie105 Ive had fake nails before,and find the upkeep on them gets very costly/not to mention when taking off,my real nails are very rough to touch.But yes,i think polished nails look awsome.I gues im old scholl,bc i love the look of a french tip.

@Luvsmyfam  - there's nothing old school about a beautiful french tip.  I also love that look.  I also used to get the fake nails done years ago, but as you said, it was costly to keep up.  When I finally stopped, it took awhile for my nails to recover.

I used to get french tip gel nails for years, the look always appealed to me, always kept my nails at a shorter length due to computer work, when the pandemic began in Mar 2020 and the salons were being shut down is when I decided to do without, plus being retired it was getting too costly to maintain every 2 weeks.

A host had really pretty nails when I was channel surfing the other night...except when the camera panned to her entire hand where she had little red hearts painted on her ring finger. At first, I thought her nail was bleeding!
