I feel terrible that Carolyn is gone. It’s not Julia’s fault, and it’s wrong to be mean about her. I think she’s doing her best. No, nobody will fill Carolyn’s shoes… but I won’t hate on Julia. (N.) (new host) is like nails on chalkboard. I’ll agree with this.

I think she does an okay job and works well with Gary. I like that she isn't jumpy and screamy.

I think this girl Julia acts very informed.. very comfortable.... has a pleasant speaking voice... and does as nice if not better job than Carolyn.

I think sometimes esp when people are nervous or some just their speaking voice is shrill. When it possibly impacts their work, it seems, QVC might allow her a vocal coach. The remedy is not a big deal lots of people have that tone to their voice.

I will still shop and those that say they won't are probably exaggerating.  I will just watch less.  QVC is not my main viewing channel.

Making no comparrison to Carolyn, but Julia is far to frantic in her presentations.  I don't care for her and don't watch.  She seems overly anxious in finding reasons to buy ex:  This will go with this, or this will go with that and that's with any presentation.

The whole "be like Pam. Pam has 30 pairs" thing this morning was way over the top for me.

Julia is like a breath of fresh air.  She has clothes on that fit and doesn't feel the need to lift her shirt and show everything . It was time for Carolyn to go.  She was just too silly and got sloppy on recent shows. Good Luck Julia!

...I think the shirt she had on today was a size to small.

Nothing against Julia, but a little too hyper for me! I relate to someone who is calmer, and works well with Gary's personality. Leah, Pat or Mary Beth would be a good fit.

She is over-the-top enthusiastic and that generally comes across as forced. As some people were fond of saying about a host who left almost ten years ago, it’s truly difficult to imagine Julia ever wearing Denim & Co. off-air. That doesn’t mean a host can’t successfully sell products they don’t use; it happens all the time. But like her or not, Carolyn was a diehard customer of the product and championed it to the nth degree. Since D & Co. is a very lucrative in-house brand, probably due in part to her efforts, retaining Carolyn would likely have been a cost-effective move.
