I was was watching a video for a Joan Rivers necklace I am considering buying and heard the host say. "Here's the sit with this piece." GUess having to say 4 syllables was way too difficult.

Did the host say "here's the sit" or "here's the sitch" for this one?
"Here's the sitch" has been around for decades. I remember people saying it in the 80s.

It's a new age. Talking = texting.

I am well aware that we are in a technology driven world, but this IMO is one reason why children can't spell anymore. My son is 23 and did not get his first cell phone until he was in 8th grade. Young kids think the word "you" is spelled "u." 😩😬 I work in the public school system and see it everyday.

It's a wonder kids get into college and graduate with their lack of communication skills. They really have to be mature and care about how they come off to adults to want to learn how to spell and communicate effectively. I guess if you can pay for it you can get a degree from most non professional programs.
