That thing about shipping. I think that is why so many things (clothes) show up at Goodwill with the tags still on.

QVC has many brands that NEVER make air time...why?

If you carry a product why not showcase it.

A dedicated hour is not necessary, how about an hour of many products that don't make air time?

@Mom2Dogs   LOVE LOVE LOVE that idea.   So fresh.   They repeat the same tired brands and products over and over and over and over and over and over  ....   etc.

After the second "over"....  I'm done!   I just block it out and don't even make an effort to tune in.  I watch so little now because it's SO BORING.

Items seem to be presented over and over even when they say only offer for the year?
I've seen sooo many vacuums and hair tools in the last few weeks I'm thinking there must be tons of this stuff in your "warehouse"

Has anyone else noticed how every other person posting here is suddenly an expert on retail corporate operations?  Poor CEOs a really didn't need to get those MBAs or hire staffs of hundreds of experts.

@nyc1   @Mom2Dogs. QVC has contracts with some companies to act as a sales agent on the website only.  These companies don't want to pay for air time, hosts or all the fru fru that goes with it.  They are third part sellers just like Amazon and Wal-Mart have.

I've said this before: I believe that certain products/vendors purchase time from Q just like info-mercials. Why else would Q give so much airtime to mattresses, Bose, vitamix, lotions on and on.

If management wants to revamp the Q why hang on to the hours and hours of showing the same product. how many times can you show a sponge squeezing bath lotion? or pulling apart a muffin?

If they want to transition from a TV station into an internet seller why hide your products for the midnight surprise?

If you want to cut overhead, why have 2 hosts per show? The termination of Dan and Carolyn was blatantly based on age. That's part of the outrage.

Oh well, they are going to do what they are going to do. A business that does not listen to its customers has poor management.

My heart broke yesterday for Carolyn,  with all the garden shows. I loved seeing her with.Phillip.  I'm sure he was missing her too. The midnight showing with was a hot mess. He couldn't get a word in. All I  did was yell at the tv " shut up."

Lots and lots of good points in this post!

My advice and I'm "just" an occasional customer is retrain every host, even the veterans.  Tell them to FOCUS ON WHAT YOU'RE SELLING.  Give all the details.  Don't pose and giggle, FOCUS ON WHAT YOU'RE SELLING.

Stop with the duel hosts, they have personal conversations that go off on tangents that have nothing to do with WHAT THEY'RE SELLING.

If I had the patience to watch the antics of the hosts I might watch more presentations and buy something. But I don't.

Hey thanks everyone for the warmth in my first stab! I am in my early 40s. I started going to live audience shows in my younger 30s and had a blast. I miss those. I remember going to a meet and greet with Kim Gravel and she’s like “Little lady what are you doin here?!” And well, QVC is my background noise and it’s become a part of my day!!

I really do appreciate the comments and conversation.

I became more intrigued with QVC during a hard break up in my life - a life changing one. At that time of my life I didn’t want to rely on romantic comedies or drama or a storyline that wouldn’t make me think about my situation. So I turned to QVC and it allows me to experience some thing that let me not think about my life in that very moment. Nothing but people chatting. I’d agree or disagree. Buy an item or pass. Laugh at the chatter or text my mom thinking about why is there another mattress on sale. I need to lay on one to buy one!!

I think for many of us and I don’t care who makes fun of me but it has become a part of my day and a part of my relationship with my mom. QVC is special. It is sad to see things change.

For extra context to the discussion, I am mid-40s and had Carolyn's shows on my calendar.

I too, have an interest in home and garden. I work crazy hours and travel. Daytime hosts/shopping were a routine for me.

Now overall I find less and less presentation that I relate to in a real knowledgeable way....feeling bummed.

I feel Q is trying to provide a "lite" version of what it used to be --- more flash in the pan, loud, insincere presentations...and achieve the same sales on all ends/ages. I think it was great that hosts had their niches.

Not every person under 50 shops only Amazon. Though it is business, I am one small person, my enthusasum has really dropped, and my shopping significantly less if I don't tune in alot. There are other retailers and the presentation and personal interaction was key in the Q experience.
